Night had fallen long ago and with everything that had been happening she thought it'd be better if she stayed in but her undesired quest kept making noise from under his gag.
"Would you shut up already?" she sighed looking over to the sorry excuse for a human being. "If I wanted you dead I would have killed you long ago. You aren't for me to decide your fate although I might have to amend that if you keep up with your incessant need to escape."
The look of hope that seemed to glint in his eyes made her grin. He wouldn't give up and she knew that, part of her wondered how long it would take her to break him should she decide to do so. He was strong willed but of course he had to be to have survived this long with everything he'd done.
Keeping the grin on her face she sauntered over to him, the smile a little more seductive. When she found this sorry blood bag he was all tough until he needed his fix. Funny that a man who worked for the council had a weakness for vampires. Crouching in front of him she then frowned, pulling his face close to hers by his hair.
"You aren't that lucky and I'm not that merciful. If I decide to bite you I well cause as much pain as I can, not sip on you like a kitten to milk." Disgusted she let him go, moving towards the door.
"Have fun, and try not to soil yourself while I'm gone." She grinned ferally before stepping out into the rain which bounced off the trench coat she was wearing, less armed than she should have been with bounty hunters after her but that was the plan wasn't it?
Closing her eyes she let the water peat upon her, before moving on. Pausing she looked around, unsure if she was being followed or not, in this rain she couldn't tell, nor could she smell anyone or thing.
Frowning she continued, a feeling of unease growing in the pit of her stomach. The moon was hiding behind the clouds, making each shadow seem all the more ominous even with her vampire vision.
A siren in the distance broke out, causing her to turn with a slight start.
"Great, now I'm becoming paranoid," she muttered under her breath, nothing was going on around her, nothing moved but the rain which she normally would have found calming but under the circumstances it was no comfort.
"Doc?" If it was indeed a bounty hunter it worked in her favor to pretend to be trusting, if it was Doc she hoped he'd just come out and say his piece; or take the human trash that was probably trying to escape again.
A small sound came from her left but when she turned she found nothing there. Only a few tombstones and an angel statue that seemed to be weeping under the rainfall. Slowly she reached into her sleeve, pulling out a dagger, it's heavy weight a small comfort in the palm of her hand.
Another noise, from the right this time, she turned only to find nothing there, no enemy, no friend, no one. She was sure this wasn't Doc messing with her. He wasn't able to hide his scent at least not from her without help, nor was he this fast.
Behind! Turning she put her blade up only to drop it as something heavy slammed into her, biting her left arm, catching mostly jacket in it's massive jaws. A chuckle came from a few yards away but in the darkness she couldn't see who ever it was and turned to the more immediate threat of the massive hound trying to bite through her arm. Kicking the beast off her she grabbed the blade in her right uninjured hand and felt the beast on her again, reaching for her neck but she moved in time for the creature to fly past her, hitting a tombstone, earning a yelp from the deformed demon dog which was built more like a bear than any dog she had seen before.
Dagger in hand she crouched waiting for the hound or it's owner to make a move. A growl from the left told her the demonic hound was up and not happy to have been evaded, her blood dripping from it's massive jaws.
"You know," a deep male voice seemed to ring out, causing her to turn to face a tall, fairly well built man who in this light almost seemed human but something was off about the way he looked. "You need to get better gate keepers. Anyone can come in here and they leave tools just laying around, sure enough in his hand was a shovel and here all she had was a dagger. Damn. With a swift movement that should have been unnatural given his build he swung the tip of the shovel at her but she fell back on her hands doing a back hand spring to get away from the blunt force from the makeshift weapon, the shovels tip barely grazing her. Upon landing the hound moved in and sunk it's teeth into her thigh, without thinking she dug the blade deep into the creatures skull, causing the blade to snap, in the end killing the hound but leaving her without a weapon.
Breathing heavily she glared up at the bounty hunter who only grinned as if the loss of his pet meant nothing.
"So how much is the bounty? I haven't bothered finding out." Circling around the man she sized him up, trying to figure out a way to take him down quickly.
"A nice sum, it'll keep me happy for quite some time." Rogue had no doubts about that. Raven was a paranoid freak and probably was able to keep a nice stash of money some place. His one weakness was his greed, which apparently was followed by wrath.
"You know you can make this so much easier on everyone if you come with me quietly and tell me where your little friend is."
"Yeah, cause thats, going to happen." He swung the shovel at her again and she caught it, her left hand wanting to give in but she held firm even as it began to cut into her hands. Twisting to the side she pulled the shovel from his grasp grabbing a hold of the handle and swinging it around like a staff in her right hand.
"You better be careful or your hand might rebreak," he grinned, looking at her left hand which had been broken a little over six weeks prior, having not fully healed yet.
Hissing she swung the shovel at him but moved to the side, pulling the shovel forward causing her to fall to a knee next to the hunter, she had been about to turn and attack him when something pressed against her skull. Both of them stayed where they were, Rogue crouching down and the bounty hunter holding a decently sized gun in his hand, it pressing against her skull.
Looking side ways at the gun she grinned, "That wont kill me."
"No... but it'll drop you faster than a rabbit down a hole."
Damn. He was right about that. For a moment they both remained where they were until she moved and he pulled the trigger, her body falling to the floor.
