((lol, I was meaning in the fact that it was a couple of posts later mentioning that she was just standing there. Even non action could be considered gmoding. But I see your point. No worries.))

A kick from the vamp sent me down to the floor, hard, and I heard and ohdearlordchristmotherhelldamnation felt my left wrist snap from the blow. Gasping, I truned and pushed myself up, swearing at the pain, and drove my stake into the vamp's heart with all the force I could muster. It didn't go in very far, barely an inch, but it did the trick, for all that it was another stroke of luck combined with pain and adrenaline. Looking round, i saw I had two options: either help Kyler, or run off to get back up. It was a bit sad how quickly I made up my mind to do the latter. For all that she seemed pretty calm in a crisis, I doubted one lady was going to be able to take on a nest of vamps by herself - she didn't look like a slayer, if her speed was anything to go by. I could deal with a vamp or two, provided I was alone, and not in public where the sight of a girl becoming an animal might bring out guns and other bad bad things, but I couldn't guarantee that it was possible. No, I needed help.
It was time for my bodyguard to start earning his keep. I made a 'sorry' fce at Kyler and half ran, half limped to the exit, ducking into an alley and transforming - flying would get me to the guy's apartment a lot quicker. (Jessy's now in Demanding Attention)

(((You will... I think I've been called to the apartments. XD )))
The vampires were all either gone or dead. Kyler knew he had absolutely no chance of catching the ones who got away, and there was no point in trying. Instead, he was resume his facade and help to clean up the mess left behind by the intruders.
Dumping the stake, he picked up a broom and began sweeping, the manager, who had hidden in the back office came out and began to help, 'rallying' all the co-workers to do likewise. They spent some amount of time cleaning, while the manager made appropriate calls to repair the damage.
A surge of Talent hit Kyler like a huge gust of wind - odd, since he was broken and shouldn't be able to feel such things, nor recognise that he's felt this Talent before, but he shrugged it off... besides, the glass that had hit his arm before maraculously hadn't injured him... perhaps it was his lucky day. Yeah right, a vampire attack - lucky day? As if.
One things Kyler figured was that he needed to follow the source of the surge, and so he headed into the manager's office, breathing quickly and heavily, doing his best to look "worried", and explained that his sister was here earlier, in the cafe, when the attack occurred, and wasn't answering her phone, and now he was worried.
The manager bought it, thankfully, and told him he could go find out what was going on, and after giving him good wishes, sent him off... Kyler was amazed that he had managed such a convincing lie, and did his best to remember how he did it, so he could go about it the same way next time he needed to.
With that, he was off, heading down the road, realising it was in the same direction that Jessy girl had gone not too long ago. Was it her? Was she Talented?
