Liam didn't know what else to say so he hat there in an awkward silence, elbows on the arms of his chair, twiddling his thumbs. His mind went back to the book that she was copying from. He figured he would play dumb just for something to talk about. And maybe even find out if she was really a threat or not.
"So, uhh.. what're ya reading?"

"Witchcraft," she replied, grinning before trying to look scary. "Booga booga." She chuckled. "I'm wiccan, but if you're freaked about it I'm sure you can find another spot to sit." Her grin only widened as she waited for his reaction. He didn't seem to be the type to be interested in witchcraft and nor did he seem the type to be against it either, but she had been surprised before.

He hesitated a minute. He had seen people think they were doing good with magic, but were really doing more harm than they would have thought possible.
"Umm.. may I have a look at the book? And, this stuff isn't bad, is it?" Once again, playing dumb. He hoped he came off like he'd never thought it was real. but who knew, really...

"No... it's a book on healing, like I said, I'm a pacifist, like all that fireballs and lightning is going to help when a person is bleeding?" she shrugged before showing the book to him. Most people didn't know the real thing from a wiccan book so she figured there was no harm in letting him see.

Liam took the book from her, keeping her page marked with his index finger. Skimming it, he couldn't find any harm in it. This was good. She wasn't getting herself into anything she may not know about. Just a religion. "So magic really exists?" Now that he had gotten himself in deep with the faking it, he couldn't exactly stop. He felt that if she did eventually find out all he really knew, she may get pissed at him. But he didn't really know her, so who could say?

"Only if you believe," she replied with a shrug before taking the book back. "More offten than not you have ti have a true intention to your words for it to acuall mean anything. Or else it's just words. If you say something with enough power and will behind it and it isn't really a spell, just a command it's entirely possible that it could happen. Kinda like a mind over matter thing I guess."

Liam nodded, leaning his elbows onto his knees and folding his hands, eyes a little wide. It was his 'I have no idea what to talk about' face.
(wow.. 11 days went by before I had time to post and I still have nothing to write... xD)

"Why ARE you so interested?" she asked, watching him closely. Warning bells were starting to go off in her head. "I should probably get going..." she closed her books and slid them into her book bag.

He could tell by her manner that she really didn't have any harm intended on anyone. He was alone in his new little world of trying to be normal once more. He needed a friend who understood him.
"Wait, don't go. I-I can tell you, but you have to promise you won't freak." Liam stood, though he stayed with his chair. he didn't want to scare her. "I could use a friend around here..." He felt as if maybe he was giving too much of himself away, putting himself in danger. But this was the new Liam Jackson. He didn't want to be the hunter anymore.

An eyebrow rose slightly. "Why would I freak?" she wasn't sure if she should be afraid or hear this guy out. Sure he was cute, but how many cute guys turned out to be freaky? Too many... "Fine, what is it?"

He really hoped that she knew about other things that were out there. Not wanting to freak her out, he started slowly. Just asking questions.
"Do you believe in other possibilities? Other than just magic?" Looking at her with a furrowed brow, he was contemplating whether or not he should just tell her everything. But all these people around, he didn't want to scare everybody senseless. Either that or they would all think him insane....

She gave him a weird look, "Some..." She had a feeling she knew where he was going but she didn't dare fill in the blanks. She wanted to hear him say it. For all she knew he was going to say something completely different.

He sighed and decided to let it out. "Like monsters and stuff? I was only curious about the magic because some is evil. It was my way to find out if you were a danger to others. I grew up with my dad, traveling, hunting down the demon that killed my mother when i was only six months old. I finally got it a few years ago. I'm trying to live a normal life, and I don't know anyone around here. That's why I could use a friend..." He plopped himself back onto the chair and leaned his head back and closed his eyes. It took a lot out of him just to say that. He wasn't used to letting out his story to people he hardly knew.

"So..." she looked at him skeptically. "You hunt them?" She looked at him up and down. "Sure you do." She wasn't sure what else to say so she picked up her last book before heading out into the streets. "Nice meeting you."
((lol, you can have him follow or not. Which ever.))

Liam sighed and put his head in his hands. After a moment of though about how he had told a mere stranger about his life, gathered his things and walked out the door. Walking the streets of the city would calm him. Give him time to think. He wouldn't press her. But he was sure there would be another time he would see her.
