"Thanks," he said. "And really, I'm not that bad. Mana exhaustion bites. No offence," he shouldn't have slipped that part. Maybe I'm more exhausted than I thought, he thought as the ambulance drew near. "You better do your vanishing act."

"Scream if you need me," she grinned suggestively dispite herself. She couldn't resist tormenting him in any way she could devise.
She walked down the alley, going further back instead of out the entrance. Buildings provided quick cover as she left, but staying close enough that if something were to happen she could run in.

"Okay, i don't know if I should be insulted or touched," he muttered as the ambulance arrived. The crew weren't Raven's, but they were in his employ, paid off by the obscene ammounts of money his mercenary operations made to take care of the less normal injuries that needed to be.
"Another one?"
"Yes, another one," Doc said as the two exited the vehicle, pulling out thhe geurney and placing the woman on top. "Damn anemia."
"Yeah, yeah. You gotta tell us how you keep doing this."
"Trade secret," was the response as they worked quickly, securing her and putting her in the back of hte ambulence. Curt farewells were traded as they drove off. Doc watched them leave before heading off with a whistle. Well that was fun in a way that wasn't.

She could hear the sirens move away from their location and reappeared. "That was quick," she replied.

"Yeah, they were... oh, what the hell," he said. He couldn't think of a decent excuse, and it wasn't like she was going to tell anyone. "They work for Raven. Paid a tidy sum to clean up messes the normal people don't need to know. Ain't capitalism grand?" He gave her a shrug. "He has an agent at the hospital. Called for clean up. Case closed. any questions?"

"Well, that's nice to know," he said. Okay, he really needed to practice the whole secret identity thing. He was much better at the violence portion of his life. Well, that and the other more illegal bits. Like breaking and entering. And faking documents. "I'll keep it in mind. thanks for the help, by the way."

"Making sure she didn't get eaten," he said. "making sure I didn't get eaten. you were right, as hard as it is for me to admit it. Healing her like that took more out of me than it should have, but I don't use that aspect much. I usually flat out avoid it, to tell the truth. So something as minor as that can do me in," he looked at her tiredly. "so... thanks. I appreciate it."

Doc looked up at hte sky. "This whole vengance thing gets a bit hard sometimes," he admitted. "All alone, trying not to get myself killed. It's nice to have back up for a change."

"Surprised you didn't end up stuck with a bunch of hunters," he said with a laugh. "That would make your life really comic book-like. May as well just start calling you Blade," he chuckled quietly, trying to image Rogue acting like Wesley Snipes. Okay, maybe not.
