(((Occurs directly after "It's not Rabies!")))
Along with Rogue and Ashley, Kyler arrived at a cheap, somewhat run-down motel that it seemed only the poorest of poor used as a place to live. It was early morning, and most of the residents were still asleep, and those that were awake were not quite ready to reveal themselves to the world for different reasons.
Kyler lead them around the side of the building to an old, metal gate, which he pulled out a small key to unlock and allow them through. As it opened, the gate didn't clang or scrape as one would expect an old gate to, but rather it moved rather easily, as if it was maintained to a much better state than the rest of the building was. In reality, the gate looked as old and run down as the rest of the place, it was simply oiled and maintained only to the point where it wouldn't make a sound when it was opened or shut.
Behind the gate was an uneven, cracked pathway that lead to a small back courtyard that consisted of cracked concrete and dying or dead grass and an old, worn clothesline. A child's playset also sat in the courtyard, but it looked as if it was about to fall apart, and was a home to many different forms of insect and arachnid life.

I looked around the abandonded playground, extremly confused. I looked between Rogue and Kyler, not sure if we were heading in the right direction. He seemed to know where he was going, so I just kept my mouth shut, like I had for most of the walk. It was almost as if I had butterflies, because my stomach was twisting in several knots, and my heart was pounding in my ears. I was hoping we were close, I was starting to get hungry.

"This is where you are taking us?" she asked, giving him a look that she was not one for games. Her patience had run out long ago and was not pleased of the prospect of going to a place she knew nothing about to guard a newly turned werewolf.

"bear with me." Kyler responded, leading them toward a cellar door that was partially hidden behind some overgrown plants.
Before he could open it, however, a tall man opened the back screen door of the hotel and walked out down the few, barely maintained steps, onto the courtyard. He looked over to them with a serious look on his face. He had dark, brown hair and a few destinct lines along his face, as if he was scarred, or aging, though it was hard to tell. He was well-dressed for someone who might be found in such an area.
"My guess is you have already heard of me." He said, his tone unenthusiastic, "I thought I was clear that people shouldn't be shown this place."
"Unless they needed it..." Kyler responded.
"He doesn't need to know about this place... not yet." The man responded.
Clearly confused, Kyler was about to alert the man to the fact that there was no "he" around other than himself, and he already knew about this place, quite obviously... but he was cut off.
"Young lady, may I see the business card that you were given?" He headed over to Ashley, though, keeping his distance, his body language showing that he meant no harm. He held out his hand toward her in order to receive the card.

I was extremely confused. How had this strange man known that I had got a business card? I reached for my purse, in a protective manner, looking at Rogue for reassurance. I then realized how dumb that must have looked, so I opened up my purse and handed him the card, my hand shaking slightly. I thought the weird part was over, but it just kept getting worse.

Taking the card from Ashley's hand, the man gave a polite smile, "thank you kindly."
He took the card over to the run-down childrens play area and ripped the card up, letting the pieces fall into the playset, amongst the bits and pieces and the spider webs.
Kyler just watched, his eyes somewhat wide. That was random, and he hoped for an explanation. Before he could ask for one, the man began to speak.
"It was being used to track you." the man explained, his expression was much friendlier now, as was his tone, "that man is overprotective, but I am not fond of intrusion, especially when it comes to my house. Kyler, you may show these ladies the way in."
"Er... ok..." Kyler replied, somewhat confused. This was very unlike him, Kyler wasn't used to it. "Um... don't be afraid of the basement, it'll look like a little dim and scary at first, but it's a disguise, so people don't actually think anything's down there except for a crappy little basement."
He headed to the cellar door and pushed it open. It scraped against the floor as it swung ajar, revealing a set of stairs heading downwards into a dimly-lit basement. The walls, made of concrete, could be seen, and apart from a few old tools and a cabinet, the small room looked empty.
"You guys can take a minute if you want." he smiled awkwardly, remembering what he thought when he was first taken down there, and figured that Ashley, being new even to the paranormal world, might not be having the best of thoughts about what might happen down there, must have been all happening very quickly for her.

Rogue watched the man unenthusiastically, it wasn't thrilling to be in a situation where you didn't know what was going on, but that seemed to become more and more what her days seemed like. Constantly in a cloud of the unknown and she knew she didn't like it but she also knew that she had to hide her distrust. She would have preferred to have the girl locked up in her old crypt since she was more familiar with the area but the chances of a newly turned were wolf getting out were in the possible range. While the crypt had no windows the door was an old rusty gate that led into a wooden door, hardly ideal for a werewolf.
When the girl looked back she was touched at the sediment and gave a small nod. It wasn't hard that the card Doc had given was more then just a card. He had many tricks up his sleeves and it was a fact that annoyed Rogue greatly. He though he had an answer for everything and thought he was always right about something. Probably the most annoying thing about her room mate.
"You feeling okay about this so far?" Rogue asked Ashley. Not that she would be excited at the idea that tomorrow she would turn into a wild beast.

The man looked at Rogue, as if he could sense her discomfort, or knew something was going to happen prior to this occurring - which wouldn't be unsurprising, especially if he had been communicating with Dorian recently.
"I'm sure that you, of all people, would know that nothing in this world is what it seems, wouldn't you?" He said to her, "I am someone who likes to think of the abolute worst that can happen in a situation, prepare for it, and then ignore most precautions until I have to... and by that, I mean that you may call me Martin, and chances are you will never see this face again."
He then turned to Kyler, "I will be in the vault if you need me," and turning back to the girls, he continued, "and if any of you have any questions, Kyler will let you know where the vault is, and you may feel free to ask, though you may not get an answer for everything."
With a quick nod to all three of them, he decended down the staircase into the dimly-lit basement and moved around behind the stairs. A scratching noise could be heard, though what was making it couldn't be seen, and then nothing.
Kyler waited until the noise stopped, before moving beside the basement door that lead inside, and looked at Ashley and Rogue, "whenever you're ready... after you." he smiled awkwardly.
