To Kill Him... Or Save Him?

The whole trek up to the second floor she was plagued between images of him already being dead and of her killing him. Here she was trying to convince herself not to kill him while every nerve in her wanted to for the moment. All the while this internal debate was going on she kept an eye and nose open for the retired watcher who either fled town or was some where near by, but she wasn't going to bed anything on the former. Without a word she sat back down in the chair she had spent the last several hours in with the very same man she had a desire to either kiss or kill. The latter being stronger for the moment.

"So, you missed me that much," he said flatly, not looking at her. "Or is this a social call? What do you want, Rogue?"

"What I want is for you to shut up. If you hadn't of gotten yourself shot we wouldn't be in this situation but deal alright? Or I'll just stop wanting to kill you." She didn't let on as to what was going on. Fuck it, he could remain clueless on this one for all she cared.

"Whatever," he said, looking away. "So, I presume that since you're here, and not taking your frustrations out on some poor schmuck, somethings up. You going to tel me about it, or do I have to figure it out?"

"Yeah, you never picked up your watcher friend and he got loose, he knows where I sleep and I don't know how much he knows of you and my connection with you. So I'm here, babysitting you making sure you don't get killed because you didn't decide on what to do with the creep. Since he knows who I am, he'll likely find out the stuff with Raven which'll mention you and he'd track you down to get to me, and if he doesn't know his own connection with you than well... who knows. At this point I really don't care."

"Then why are you here, if you don't care," he pointed out. She was a conundrum wrapped in an enigma, she really was. She didn't even have her own damn emotions straight.

"Cause I'm an idiot," she said, glaring at him. "Cause I am a fool and here I am protecting the one person in the world that I want to both kill and protect. I am trying to talk myself out of staying here. I really am." Sad but true. It seemed like the vampire and her were at odds on this and was mentally debating as well as being stuck in the room with... him. Messaging the bridge of her nose she sighed. "Now shut up while I think."

"Yes ma'am," Doc quipped before falling silent. He needed to contact Maya. this Watcher was a problem though... Maybe eh could... Would she do it though. "Are you really worried about this Watcher?"

Surprised by his change in tone, she looked up before answering, her voice very serious, "Yes, I am concerned that he is running loose." Close to you... but she didn't add that part. He was a threat to the general population, not just to Doc or herself.

"Then if I may make a suggestion?" He sad flatly. "Go see Mal, find this fucker before he finds us and turn him in. Don't worry about people getting him out. I can ensure he won't be."

"No offense but what can you guarentee from here?"

"Raven was training me to be his second," Doc pointed out. "While I don't have control over the far reaching net, and have no wish to... LA has enough people that see me as the new leader to keep the sonuvabitch out of our hair."

"I..." for a moment she wasn't sure of what to say. "I don't much care for the idea of you doing so... Since they might retaliate against you... Are you sure it's a good idea to make any orders?"

"The ones that have decided I'm big cheese are repsonding better ot kindness than they have to fear," he said. "A couple managed to save some of Raven's accounts. One of his back-up plans. I've managed to set up payments for them for information and missions. Something he never did," he closed his eyes. "I've got everything 80% under control. Go to Mal. And see if you can talk to his friend. I haven't been able to get her and maya to meet yet, but maybe you can help her too."

"I'll trust you on that for now but the last part... I can hardly help myself from talking to the voices in my head, how am I suppose to help a mentally unstable slayer?"
