"He trusts her," Matthew said, looking at the papers. "But that doesn't mean he can't deal with her. Basically what he said. "Meaning, he only trusts her to a point," Matthew looked at Lizzy again. "Makes me wonder... if he trusts anyone fully."

"Given his history I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't." It was sad to see a man so broken he couldn't trust a person he was interested in. "It's really a dangerous game this vampire is playing than. She's either very smart or very stupid. Given she's avoided detection for so long she's probably very intelligent."

"Oh, I'd say she's incredibly intelligent," Matt said. "She also cares for him. She's got something planned, something to keep Doc safe, whether or not it's Raven's death... I don't know. There's something about this whole thing that makes me... edgy."

"Understandable so..." she was curious to see who all of this was going to turn out.

"Hopefully, the fireworks will go off without collateral, but..." he trailed off, looking around. "you might want to keep the local Slayers on speed dial. Just in case."

"I well," she nodded. "Anyways I need to get home and work on grading papers. The annoyances of having a day job. And I'll fax you the information tonight."

"Have fun with that," he smirked, nodding as he cleared up his papers. "Though i think you definately have an easier time of it than me."

"I would say I have the easy end of the stick," she chuckled. "You take care." She left, thinking back on all the new information she had to process.
