"Well, uh that's possible," he said with a small smile. "But to most people, you talking to a msall red head who wants to be a vampire. And you're refusing her because she's too dumb," he touched his watch lighlty. "I work for people that get what they want. It's annoying sometimes."

She smiled. "Not a terrible touch I suppose. I don't suppose you could do me a favor?"

"Would depend on the favour," he said cautiously. "warning I'm not an assassin for hire, though I'm not totally against mauling in poachers, animal thives, rapists or anyone that threatens me iwth a gun."

"Well, he might threaten you, but it's in his nature to distrust people. I would like for you to inform him of my progress," she said the last part in a soft whisper. "I cannot contact him myself for if I am found to have a connection to him, than I'll be used as leverage for him and all my research well have been for nothing."

"My name is Rogue," she muttered darkly. "Just inform him of my status is all. He doesn't need to worry if I'm dead or alive."

"Right, Rogue," he said, mentally adding the names to his list of things to look up. "Anything else I need to tell him, Rogue?"

"No, but if something happens to me, stop him from trying to get revenge. I don't need him trying to burst in guns blazing." She finished her drink, setting the glass down, watching the other patrons and the other fighters dishing it out between them. "He reacts more than he thinks when it comes to..." She didn't know what to call their relationship since it was in flux. Matters of the heart? Maybe? She wasn't sure.

"People he cares about?" Matt filled in for her, getting to his feet. "Well, I'm going to go deliver the message and leave you to your next match. Try not to get any blood on that jacket. I here it's hard to get off," he turned and walked out. He was out the door before an importnat thought came to him.
Where the hell was 5th Street?

Cares about? Very fitting.
She left the bar, not even bothering to look back. Time to continue.
