Rogue watched her enemy from where she stood, he was little more than an over eager fighter who thought he could win big in this. She almost felt sorry for having to kill him but he knew the risks when he entered the arena and so she pushed down what little guilt she had.
It was almost boring watching him dodge back and forth in a most energetic manner before taking a swing at her and in response she swung back before she punched him forcefully pushing him back. He squirmed from her grasp when she made a reach for him and made an attempt to swipe at Rogue.
She grabbed a hold of his neck and crushed him against the wall of the arena. People were cheering in the background but she couldn't hear them, more focused on the prey in front of her. She sensed an object being thrown in and she grabbed it without a second thought, the weapon feeling good in her hand. In a swift movement she dug it into his stomach and slipped across, blood blossoming out of his mouth before she let him go to choke in his own blood.
She hadn't wanted to kill him but he knew the risks when he joined.

Matt watched on curiously, his expression hidden away. Well, this was an... unexpected meeting. So much for being a 'researcher'.
A vampire cage fighter. A strong one by the looks of it, though apparently fairly new, to cages, anyway. Not what he was expecting to see when he'd arrived. Silled fight er, but...
Matt growled, the action sending one small demon skitterin in the opposite direction. Who's side was she on?

She looked down at the dead demon before stepping back, looking around at the crowd before walking under the entrance. It seemed pointless to get a crowd worked up, instead she felt the desire to show only the cold hearted kill.
She could go out and mingle into the crowd, a couple of various demons and human gave her a wide birthe as they seemed to give many of the fighters. None of them wanted to get caught in any remaining blood lust from an unsatisfied fighter.
As she sat at the bar she held up a cold demeanor as she ordered a glass of blood to replenish some strength.

"So, you research the insides of your opponents guts?" Matt asked casually as he sat beside her, ordering a scotch. "Or is this just a side job to earn research funding?" He gave her a slight smirk before looking back. "Of all the cages in all hte world, you had to walk into mine..."

"More like testing my research," she replied, not even blinking or looking at the werewolf. "And doing something very stupid." She sipped from her glass of warm blood.

"So, you never knew breaking the neck could kill, that's comforting," he said dryly, taking his drink from the barman. "As for the stupid part, well..." he shrugged. "You just pissed off a lot of people that had a lot of money on the guy you just, uh, retired. 'Stupid' doen't cover the amount of kaka your in the second you step out the door here," he took a sip, looking aruond pointedly at a few seething patrons. "Something to keep in mind."

"I already have many people out for my head, so I'm used to people wanting to kill me."
Inwardly she smiled. Less money in the hands of people betting and more landing in the pockets of Raven which suited her just fine.

"Well, if you keep winning, you'll have one fan," Matt commented. "I sincerely hope it doesn't come to that," he looked idly up at the box the apparent boss of this place hid, sipping his drink again. All he had on this guy was rumour and urban legend. He was like a ghost. Yeah, maybe the ghost of Ghengis Khan or Adolf Hitler, and his soldiers were just... freaks. Coming from a weretiger, that was something to be said. But he'd seen things while hunting for information; his specialty. "Not that I know much about him, aside from being... well, less than warm hearted. If what few facts I've gathered are right."

"He has a warm heart," beating in his chest... She grinned, enjoying the thought of ripping it out. She crossed one leg over the other, moving so she could lean back against the bar, looking out at the room full of people. "Is he around here?" He had to be, but she couldn't see him.
Unfortunately she couldn't smell him since she had no idea of what he smelt like, nor what he looked like.

"Probably in the 'corporate box' Matt said, nodding at the glass office. "Watching the entire thing. You plan on seducing him with some other guys spine as your garter? Cause if so, try and get a name for me? No one seems willing to say it, like he's Voldemort or something."

"If thats what the fates have in store for me then yes," but my heart has a bid... she had to hide the smile from the thought of Doc, remaining impassive.
"I know the name he goes by now, not his true name of course but good enough," she replied with a shrug. "And what are you doing here?"

"Information gathering," Matthew said in a low voice. "the people i work for want to know who this guy is and right now, I'm the only person in the area he doesn't have a bead on. Plus I can get out of trouble if i need to," he gave a small smile. "He may run his own freak show, but... I've got some tricks of my own."

"I'm sure, and WHO do you work for?" she replied. "Very few groups are interested in knowledge."

"They're, uh... a private group that doesn't like their name being bandied around to people that may or may not be enemies," he said pointedly, raising an eyebrow lightly. "So you'll forgive me if I keep 'mum' on that one."

She shrugged. "A safe choice."
"If they're against him than you want to be careful about letting people know you're against that fact. You take a great risk in even informing me."
