Character Info
Name: "Intet Grey" (not her birth name, which is known only to her)
Age/DoB: 20 -- 12/10/1989
Gender: Female
Race: (Watcher, demon, vampire, etc...) Human Witch
Affiliation: (Good, Bad, Neutral, etc) Neutral (has a D&D alignment of chaotic neutral)
Powers: Is a witch. Her specialties are transformative spells, enchantments, and the alteration of the properties of the environment around her. For example, her primary defensive tactic against arrows would be to cool the air in front of them, creating thin ice sheets, slowing and eventually stopping the arrows.
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Appearance: 5'8", has long, wavy, dark blond hair. Eyes are brown, her face has some masculine characteristics, high cheekbones, long chin, flat-ish cheeks, slight jawline. Somewhat pretty, but far from perfect. Slightly heavier bone structure, long fingers, and a tendency to wear handmade jewelry. Pierced bellybutton and earlobes.
Personality: Very, very, very self-reliant. Will never trust strangers, though she is very friendly. Has a strong tendency to look out for number one, even if it means leaving anybody except a significant other in the dust. Somewhat secretive, and every truth she tells has a spin to it. Very persuasive when possible, but whether a confrontation is words, subtle actions, or blows, she makes a point to always have the first strike. She is also very energetic in demeanor, and ranges from very dark and moody, to very happy and carefree.
Fears: Has abandonment issues due to her family's non-acceptance of her chosen path in life. As such, it's harder for her to trust people, and she loses trust quickly when her fears are realized and a friend abandons her, even if only for a moment. Also has a fear of people from her past coming back to hurt her, because her childhood was so traumatic to her. Any information on her past, if used to blackmail her, is enough to force her into immediate submission, unless she thinks she can turn the tables and prevent that information from spreading.
Hopes: Hopes that she will eventually find a place where she can live for herself, live for the day, and maybe live for a carefully selected, trusted other person. Crisis is a paradise for young Intet, but even young Intet realizes that old Intet will not be so keen on always fearing for her life. She also dreams of her past issues being reconciled, or at least of her being able to forget about them.
Likes: Magical artifacts really catch Intet's fantasy. She finds the mere idea of magic imbued into a device to be quite exciting. Books are an enthusiastic pursuit of hers as well, and she has acquired (some would say stolen) a great many in her life, simply to read them. She also likes attractively colored things, usually red, pink, or purple, and is engaged by the idea of self-decoration or living space decoration.
Dislikes: Intet dislikes people who attempt to convince her to take sides in a conflict, as she is 100% more interested in just making a place for herself in the world. A similar, but separate pet peeve of hers is people passing judgement on her actions--she doesn't believe in objective morality and simply takes such attempts as attempts to control her, which the very fabric of her being is opposed to. The one sole thing she objects to that isn't related to herself, is the act of bullying a weaker individual or otherwise hurting an innocent person against their consent, i.e. abuse, due to her experiences with it in her past.
History: Intet was born somewhere in the middle of the United States, and discovered her calling as a witch around the age of 10, not because of genetics, but by virtue of need and her having the necessary intellect to understand it. On discovering that her words had power, Intet searched for a way to solve some of her childhood problems, but did not have the chance to figure the spells out before her parents caught her doing spells at 14 and threw her out of the house. She does not discuss the nature of these problems with anybody, but claims that they are "mostly fixed."
For a few months after becoming homeless, Intet desperately sought somebody who could help her finish what she had started. She found him, a warlock who had the right potions and books to mostly solve Intet's issue. In exchange, she had to become his energy battery due to the unique way her magic reserves work, and also had to run petty thug jobs for him. It was in this way that Intet learned the ins and outs of ignoring the law.
Intet has come to this area after finally growing determined and strong enough to slay the warlock, and utilize the treatment for her "issue." She is far from a home she doesn't have, but she's more concerned with what lies for her here, than what she has left behind.
