Appearance: An average height with a slightly athletic build. Her skin is paler then she would prefer but because of her Irish heritage she burns instead of tanning. Hair is a soft natural brown which she often leaves undyed. The one feature she likes about herself the most is her deep brown eyes which grow lighter the closer to the pupil it gets.
Drives: To study about magic and different religions.
Fears: Dark places with no light and pain

Curious. She likes to know how the world works and also the things about it that are not seen everyday.
Determined. When she gets into something she tends to follow it to the end and throws herself into her work. A trait she got from her mother.
Naive. She tends to believe people upon their word which has gotten her into trouble before.
History:
She was born into the world by a very normal couple. They were on the pill and hadn't wanted a child but kept the child reguardless of not being able to afford one.
Life was hard when she was young since money went straight to food and keeping a roof over their heads. It wasn't until she was eleven that her father was given a promotion in LA, so her family moved from their small home into what her parents called a real home. Since both of her parents now worked she stayed with an older woman who was their next door neighbor.
Her neighbor was a witch but did not encourage Joan's interest in the craft. When she was 16 she started her own coven, not that she knew or did any real magic.
It wasn't until she was 19 that she found someone who was into the real stuff. The two became best friends and even lovers but broke it off soon after and decided to just be friends.
Currently she goes to school at UCLA on a scholarship which is up at the end of the next semester.
