Tis just me, Board Creator. XD AKA Drea.
A character I made for another site and really enjoyed so I figured I'd bring her here. She's the watcher in a Buffy AU site.
CHARACTER INFO
Name: Elizabeth Mary Jenkins
Age: 36
Birth Date: Nov 30 1972
Year in School: Librarian
Type: Watcher
Powers: Good with people and adept with different fighting styles supported by the council.
Affiliation: Good
DESCRIPTION
Physical Description: Fairly average in height and has always wished to be a bit taller, reaching a height of five foot four. Fair skin with a touch of tan from enjoying the sun during her hours away from the library. Pale blue eyes that seem more silver gray in many lightings. Her favorite feature though is her hair. She enjoys wearing it in so many styles and colors that it amazes so many people. While younger she had it dyed bright purples and pinks but now she normally dyes it a nice blond or simple highlights.
Style: Very modern, but she enjoys taking a bit from each genre. Currently she is enjoying a wardrobe of slacks and thin sweaters.
Looks Like:
Personality: Outgoing. As a child she was very shy and easy to push around but that all changed once she got to high school. Gone was the sweet girl who brought empty trash bags with her to school to fill with trash she found along the way and in her place was a young woman who liked to walk on the wild side. Books? In her high school years that was such a dirty word.
While studying to become a watcher she had to keep her wild tendencies to herself but always found a way to express her self in very... defiant even if it wasn't obviously notable.
Though as she's gotten older she mellowed out quite a bit and now enjoys reading by herself and spending hours outside on a sunny day. She expresses both her nerdy childhood self and her powerful confident self at different times, and much to the confusion of others, at the same time.
Likes
Hiking, fencing, boxing... anything outside and can work up a sweat.
Books, writing, quiet places under the sun where she can rest and enjoy the peace, even if it only lasts until the sun sets.
Dislikes
Tight spaces, extreme claustrophobia which is only made worse by darkness.
Feeling powerless especially when accompanied by pain.
Type of Person: Nerd as a child but a wild teen to a defiant watcher in training to the out and easy going 'librarian'.
SCHOOL LIFE
History:
Growing up as an army brat was more of a pain than anything else. She was the eldest of three kids and has always felt the need to protect them from anything, especially after the accident. During the summer before ninth grade her parents died in a random shooting on base. After a surprisingly short custody battle between both sets of grandparents she was sent to live with her mother's parents(who lived in England), while her siblings were sent to her father's parents.
She decided then to no longer be the shy good child but became a little hellion. Her grandmother disapproved strongly but for whatever reason her grandfather loved it. He loved order and structure but enjoyed having a wild child, Elizabeth felt very connected to him for it and that he understood why she was acting out in this way. Towards the end of her senior year her grandfather told her what he did. He told her all about vampires, witches, werewolves and the other things that went bumping around in the night.
At first she thought he was kidding. How could any of that be real, but then she had a chance to see a vampire in person. He looked so average except for his pale complexion. Apparently he was an old buddy who told her grandfather the latest stirrings in the underworld... for a fee of course.
From then on she was obsessed. She got her grandfather to get her into the council's watcher training program. There was little she wasn't interested in. The biggest things was their need for uniformity and their uninterest in originality. In response she drove the elder watchers nuts by defying them at every turn.
At the age of twenty six she was able to become a full fledged watcher, one of the proudest moments in her grandfather's life.
She rarely got to see her little brother and sister but she has always felt the need to protect them. When she's able to spend time from them it's like no time has elapsed since they had last seen each other. Neither of them know her job besides that of a humble university professor.
She lives alone in an apartment complex that isn't too far from the university campus. She is very friendly with the people she works with but does not usually form any solid friendships with them.
She also has the worst luck with men, usually preferring them to be tall dark and handsome with a bit of a wild side. She's been meaning to find someone who actually has a nice streak but has failed to find someone who fits for her.
Any Extra Information: Can't do magic to save her life and has a savanah cat named Sammy.
