Personality: Kylar is rather introverted and doesn't like showing his emotions all too much. This is mostly due to his training and what he's been told he must do. He tends to try to believe that Azoth is dead and gone, but sometimes, the more innocent and emotional nature of Azoth does come through.
History: Of Armenian background, Azoth grew up in Abbortsford, Canada, at first, life was good; he attended a private school where he was taught at a higher level than his age, and picked up a British accent through an influential teacher at the school. At a young age, his parents divorced, and he moved with his father into U.S.A, living in Eatonville. There, his father started drinking, becoming abusive and spending all his remaining money on alcohol and gambling, and Azoth began to grow distant from him, the fact that his father called him "broken" so many times adding onto this distance.
This is about the time that Azoth ran away from home, and headed south, interstate, and eventually made it to L.A., where he was greeted with nothing but poverty.
Unable to survive on his own, Azoth was close to death when one day he stumbled upon an underground hall where a shadow of a man stood, seemingly waiting for him. The man introduced himself as Martin, and nothing more. He offered him food and a place to stay, and offered to teach him the way of a thief.
Azoth accepted this offer, having no other choice, and Martin began teaching him about something called a "Talent", which was apparently inside of Azoth, but in order to unlock it, Azoth needed to become strong, a complete refurnishing, Azoth had to die. This was not meant physically, but literally. Martin soon brought some papers to Azoth, they were legal documents, and explained that Azoth was no longer here, and he was now to be called "Kyler Stern".
Kyler accepted this, disliking his old life and figuring that a fresh start as someone stronger was what he needed, and being twelve, he didn't know any better. Hence, Azoth Saroyan died and Kyler Stern was born.
Kyler spent the next few years living with Martin, learning how to fend for himself on the streets, steal, and attempting to unlock this supposed "Talent" inside of him, though it never worked. His unusually pale skin and British accent helped him to mask who he was an where he originally came from. Through watching Martin go about what he did when using his "Talent", Kyler began understanding what it was. Martin could move faster than the eye could see, and was strong enough to lift and carry things a man of his size definately shouldn't have been able to.
At about the age of sixteen, Martin sent Kyler to a school, explaining that it was different to other schools, and perhaps there, he could unlock his Talent, and so, Kyler, under that alias, began attending Stella's school for the Paranormal, Martin and his own deeds supplying the money in order to do so.
