"Why wont you people listen to me? This is not the same situation as Angelus!! We can remove the demon. Once we're done, he wont be ABLE to revert, its not the same!!" Josh laid a hand on my shoulder, but i pulled away, i could feel that he agreed with them. "Where is francois?" i asked.

"We have to find him." I said. Jessy frowned,
"I thought you hated Francois?" She said. I paused, shrugging,
"We had a bit of a chat, just before... whatever the hell it was happened." I sighed, "Look... i think I'm gonna go meditate... clear my head, see if i can remember anything, and try scanning for francois at the same time..."
"Aila is on her way." Josh reminded me.
"I know." I said, "Send her in when she shows."
He nodded, and i headed for one of the smaller training rooms where i could get some peace.

Inside the training room, i locked the door, and sat crossed legged in the centre of the room. I sighed... could our lives get any more complicated? I almost laughed at myself... it seemed that every time i asked that question the world would spite me by proving they could. I rolled my shoulders, rested my hands on my knees, and closed my eyes.
I began to relax immediately, my mind and soul opening to me and the world around me, reaching out to be aware of everything.
Now... i thought... lets see whats locked up in here... i dug into my own mind... somewhere in there there was some knowledge of what had happened. There.... what was that....
I tried to hone in on the foggiest part of my mind, where walls seemed to have been constructed around some memory... i began probing the thoughts, reaching out for them... but something was wrong...
I shouldnt be doing this.
The thought came a moment too late. I screamed with pain as my mind exploded in agony, and the entire room... maybe the whole building, shook with the mental shock wave. Then everything went black.
*third person*
Back up in the library, they all felt it.... the floor shook, windows rattled, and books cascaded off shelves. Joshua's eyes went wide, and all three said the one same word:
"Maya."
Joshua ran from the room, followed closely by the others. He knew where she was, he could feel her, by the same connection he had felt... whatever the hell that was. He hammered on the door, yelling, "MAYA!?" Mentally as well as out loud. There was no reply. He rammed into the door with his shoulder, but all it did was hurt, the door didnt budge. "MAYA!!" He cried again...

"Joshua, stand back," Avalon ordered. As he stepped back, she pulled the last thing he thought she'd ever see in her hand.
A lock pick.
"What the...?"
"I learnt some new tricks," she said flippantly. "Now hush."
