As I dodged, twisted, tore and scratched I felt connected to every shifter. We were one and we would fight together until all were gone.

I took a deep breath. Now. I had to go in now. They might kill me and roast me later but now I was gonna save their asses. Or try to at least. Yep. Definately try.
Casting a sheild around myself I stepped into the battle.

Soul Sabre in one hand, pistol in the other, I charged forward, making my way to Maya's side. A single look was all it took. She was fine, a little frazzled, but fine.
One of the creatures was barrleing towards us. "Dis one's mine," I growled, letting Francois out to play. I saw Karen coming towards us, but the girl halted as I raored in Cajun, my Sabre passing through one leg of the demon. It collapsed and I jumped through the air, slicing through it's head, cleaving it in half.
Unfortunately, the thing landed on my leg, with another one coming. Unable to move, I raised my Beretta up, aiming for it's head.
And then he showed up.
"Gargant," I whispered with a smile as the Golem smashed into the demno with the force of semi trailer. The demon staggered as Gargant stepped forward again.
"Me Gargant," the Golem growled. "You toasty."

I looked around. This thing wasn't falling over. A sword came through it. I saw TPot grinning.
((Sorry TPot, just picked you at random.))

I shot bolts of ice towards one of the demons, still shivering from the Cajun accent. Godess, Doc could be slightly grateful that I was trying to help.

"My guns don't seem to be working." I said. TPot threw me a knife. "Not much but it should help. Aim for the eyes that could help." He jumped up onto the demon and stabbed in the eye. The demon howled with pain. "Yep. Eyes are good target."

"Hey, Garg. Could ya give a guy a hand?"
"Okay, Doc," the giant Golem said, lifting the creature off me, throwing it at the one that tried to charge. "Them stupid."
"But their bigger than you are, big guy, so don't count 'em out," I said, reaching into my jacket for my other Beretta. "Not until the others are here. Hey karen, since you seem to be here to help, mind droppin' the guy that's jumpin' down on us? Much appreciated."

"Yup," I said, side stepping the now flaming demon. "Seems like she's on the side of thelight for now. So we can't kill her yet. By the way, Jessy, meet Gargant."
"Hello," the Golem said lifting up another demon and throwing it into the crowd.

"Neat! Hey, Doc have you seen Pepper? I mean, their form, it's making me feel, well, as if the shifter in me is really alive." I bounded round a demon before pouncing towards its eyes.

"At your service" I said from behind Jessy. My voice sounded strange, like windchimes,
"Ditto that" Came an identical voice beside me, Chime.
"So Karen's going good then,?" I queried, "Oh no you don't" I exclaimed suddenly as a spider came up behind us.
"And that, is for Arianna!" I said angrily as I roundhouse kicked the thing back to its friends.

Eight-thousand three-hundred fifty-one. Eight-thousand three-hundred fifty-two. Eight-thousand three-hundred fifty-three...Sure, it wasn't a proven battle strategy, to count how many arrows you've fired - point in fact, it's probably very uneffective for most people, especially when the amount of enemies you've actually killed is maybe one hundredth of that number. But I found that, when all I focussed on was numbers, the rest of my mind went blank. I reacted on instinct, firing arrow after arrow, not pausing to think. Eight-thousand three-hundred sixty-six - duck - Eight-thousand three-hundred sixty-seven - jab - Eight-thousand three-hundred sixty-eight - dodge - Eight-thousand three-hundred sixty-nine - duck - Eight-thousand three-hundred seventy!Stars exploded in front of my face as I became the reciving end of one of the gigantic legs. Helpful tip for the future: flying through a wall at 80 km/h really hurts. Not that I was about to let that keep me down. Using my bow for leverage, I pushed myself off the floor. "Damn," I muttered to myself. "I lost count." "Eight-thousand three-hundred seventy," came a voice beside me. Aralin held out a hand. I looked up, slightly surprised. "How did you hear that?" I questioned eagerly, forgetting the batte at hand for a moment. "Your magic, is it returning to you? Can you hear thoughts again?" Aralin smiled sadly. "No, dear sister. I hear them because you project your thoughts in times of stress. The demons hear you count as well, they think you taunt them." "If I wanted to taunt them I'd just go for the 'yo mama' jokes." Aralin only raised an eyebrow. I smirked. Our talk was cut short as the wall crumbled under the pressure of another demon. "Yo mama so fat, she had to eat herself to fill her stomach!" I called out. It stopped, and I swear on all that is holy, I saw its eyes narrow. Now, instead of being an ordinary giant spider demon, it was a pissd off giant spider demon. I didn't have time to think before I hit another wall. Ok, bad choice. "It most certainly was." Aralin was beside me again, helping me up. Gods bless her elven speed, but the demon wasn't far behind. It came up slowly, purposefully. No doubt it thought to kill us. Well, not without a fight. I spat out blood, glaring. I was done joking. Aralin, beside me, stood tall, three arrows notched. "Aim for the eyes," she said quietly. "I'm with you." I nodded, pulling out three arrows of my own. If this worked, we'd have a vulnerable demon. If it didn't... well, we wouldn't be alive long enough to worry about it. It continued to advance. "Child of Morgoth, spawn of Ungoliant!" I screamed at it. "Return to the shadows whence you came!" And we fired. And the Valar must have been looking out for us, because the spider let out an inhuman shriek of pain. Eight-thousand three-hundred seventy-three.((cliff's notes: Morgoth is the Vala that basically created everything bad on earth, and Ungoliant is a giant spider who ate some really important trees and it is said that "finally, in her utmost famine, she devoured herself" she also had a bunch of children (one of which is the spider Shelob that tries to kill Frodo in RotK). You have all learned something today ))

I leapt back to my feet after being knocked flying again. I HATE big demons! I eyes flaring in anger, I started a little fire... in the stomach of the demon who'd kicked me. I glanced around, seeing Joshua tearing a gash down the underside of a demon, and then diving out of the way of the falling innards ((sorry, gross, i know!)) And Aila was holding up an immpresive magickal shield while loosing arrow after arrow with even more immpresive accuracy. I actually grinned up at the shrieking demon as he burnt up from the inside. Doc rasied his eyebrows at me, and i shrugged. Then my eyes widened, and i pointed behind Doc. He glanced back at the gigantic demon, then back at me. I grinned, and he made a step with his hands. I ran, jumped, and he catapulted me high up, over, and onto the beasts back. "Thanks Bro!" I called, as i plunged my sword into the weak spot at the back of the joint between its head and neck.
