I tried to get up, on my own, one more time, until I saw all the pretty lights again, thankfully not as intense, and I quickly laid back down to prevent from passing out all over again.
"Uh, guys, I'm *really* not joking here, but I don't think I can get up by myself," I said, hoping the nervousness in my voice convinced them I was serious.

"You're joking, right, mate?" I asked. I watched as he tried again, and laid back down real quick. "He isn't kidding. How the heck are we getting him home?"

"Easy...." I said smiling. I made a gesture with my hand, as if to tell Josh to get up, and he floated upright. "Peasy." "Hey!" Joshua cried, as i said, "RIght, where do i put him?"

"If you drop me Maya, I swear that you will be wearing diapers all over again for the next week? Don't think I can do it? Try me," I threatened, feeling very grumpy not only because of my sudden weakness, but because I had a KILLER HANGOVER!!!!

"I'm not gonna drop you, dumbass..." I considered this, "Unless you keep threatening me. Then trust me, you're the one thats gonna be in a bad situation."

I just grumbled unintelligently, not really saying anything because the pain of my bruises and in my head and basically all over was occupying all if not most of my attention at that moment.
I just wanted to get home to my Dorm room, into my bed, where I could sleep and trigger a Mage Sleep, where I could heal fully in one night. Actually, technically Mage Sleep isn't *sleep* because there is no REM, it's purely bodily rest, nothing mental to it, which is the other half of sleep.
"And don't teleport me, please," I told them in the same grumpy voice, "I'm sick enough as it is. If I get teleported, chances are I'd start puking halfway through."

"Huh..." I said thoughtfully, "That might be quite interesting to see..." I grinned as Joshua looked rather green, and i laughed, "Kidding, Josh, calm down."

"Not. Funny." I growled at her and the others.

I grinned, "Hey, anyone wanna play catch?" Joshua's glare deepened. "Goddess, learn to take a joke once in a while." I said, rolling my eyes, "You're the one who got drunk and walked into the side of a crypt."

My face slackened as I was suddenly, and rudely if I say so myself, reminded of how my night had started. I just stared, not saying or thinking or threatening anything, I just stared at Maya.
Her own face registered shock at first and then regret, and finally she just turned her face away from mine and three of us, me, Maya, and Doc, took me back to my dorm room, and after that I concentrated only on healing my body. For all I knew Doc and the Slayer had gone back to the graveyard, or the Spot, or somewhere else.
And at that very moment, I really didn't care.

I parted with Doc when we left Joshuas, him heading for his apartment, me for my motel. I walked along with my head down, unable to help but feel bad about my super tactless comment- if truth be told, at that moment, i hadn't even considered the reason for Josh getting drunk. Now i kept thinking of the conversation we had had before everyone else turned up, how depressed he was, how we had actually connected for once... I turned back to the apartment, then back away, then towards Josh's again, before walking quickly away with a frustrated sigh.

I watched Maya with some amusement, obviously fighting with her emotions. "Looks like you've got a chance after all, mate," I whispered, heading for the Dojo. Things to do.

"Yay me," I said to Doc as we walked along in the night.
"What the . . .!!" he startled. I wasn't offended or even proud over his reaction. I actually felt like grumbling a little myself.
"So . . . the Dojo," I commented as we kept walking in one particular direction, which I had easily memorized.
"Who da 'ell r you?" Doc exclaimed with a cajun accent.
I ignored the sudden change in speech and looked at him head on. "I'm practicing my new power. Astral Projection from the looks of it. I decided to focus on you, first of all you having the Soulsword lets you see things on the astral plane, like ghosts, and projections obviously. Second of all, take a good look at me."
And he did, not that I minded too much, because if I was him, I'd be checking me out too. Because despite me being who I was, at the moment, I looked like one of the hottest babes on the market. Doc was seeing a tall, stocky frame with past-shoulder length dark brown hair, soft white skin, my own blue eyes, 30 C-cup breasts, narrow waist, slightly wider hips, and strong, smooth legs, for the moment wrapped up in tight jeans.
"Allow me to introduce myself . . ." I said semi-dramatically before breaking down and giggling, "It's me! Joshua! Remember, after the Slayer spirit possessed my astral body, it turned me, my astral body, into a girls. My real body is back at my apartment, repairing itself, but I didn't feel like sitting around waiting for that to happen, so I decided to test this new power of mine. And here I am. Now, what's going on with the Dojo? I may be able to help."
Doc, who seemed to have accepted the situation looked at me in confusion before asking, "How can you 'help' if you're stuck on the astral plane?"
"Duh," I rolled my eyes. "My *powers* still work, even if my body technically isn't even here. And can I just say thank god for that! I mean, I don't mind the astral form looking like this, I'm just eternally grateful that my *real* body didn't transform right along with."
"Amen to that brother," Doc said as we continued to walk along.

"And as to the Dojo," I said, "I'm makine a few... improvements."
"Improvements?"
"It's a surprise, Xena," I teased. "You'll have to wait."

"Oh, yuck it up Doc! Yuck it up!" I snapped back at him and tried my hand at a 'girl death glare'.
To my immediate pleasure he backed up half a step, a look of fear, not mocking or faked in any way, on his face as he held up his hands to fend off the look.
"All right, all RIGHT! I'm sorry!" He fell back into step when I turned off the look. "But you do kinda resemble Xena," he added.
At first I thought he was teasing, then I saw his face showed seriousness and I smiled as I unconsciously and non-concentually cooed, "You really think so?"
"Definitely," he confirmed.
Feeling a lot better all of a sudden, I made a suggestion while exerting my powers at the same time. "Well, let's just make this trip a lot shorter than it has to be," I said, raising my right arm to right in front of us.
"What do you mean?" Doc asked, curious.
"Time portals can do more than just transport you through time, but space as well. I'll just set it so we arrive five seconds ago. Don't worry, I do this all the time, and I'm much better at it than that skanky goddess Ate." And with that, and a flash of green light in front of us quickly expanding, I opened the portal, which immediately sucked Doc, and myself, through and into the middle of the Dojo, five seconds ago.
