My eyes snapped open. Very bad. Extremely bad. Especialy because I was still in the cell. I just had to hope Mai had felt it too. I was always very 'aware' of Doc's position in space and time but then again, Mai was his sister.

"I don't think not wanting to a a 'snack bar' would classify as being selfish," I said skepticly. I looked around to see vast plains with few trees and mountains in the distance. Their was smoke coming from the direction of the mountains.

"We had a...bad experiance with a portal a while back. Lost someone. Needless to say, I'm nervous."

"Oh, sorry," I said and looked at Doc briefly before looking at the smoke. Soon an awful smell invaded my sensees.
"What is that smell," I grimmiced.

I smelt the air and suddenly the wind blew against us and blood suddenly came through the smell.
"I can smell blood. And theirs been alot of it spilled," I said looking for my sword and realized I dropped it in the graveyard. I took out a stake instead.

A reached for my pistols, had sceond thought, and instead pulled out my trutworthy duel crossbow, loading two bolts with red points and elven inscription. "I alwasy did prefer this," I commented.

We came to large gates that where broken down. Blood was everywhere but not a single body could be found. The buildings were nothing but ruins. At the far corner was a large castle that was mostly intact.

"I would like to reiterate my bad feeling," I muttered as we made our way through the blood strewn streets. "Someone wanted to paint the town red. Think we'll find anyone?"

"I don't know. I don't sense anyone who is alive. I also don't sense a single dead body either. All this blood is fresh. You'd think their would be at least one dead body," I said looking around worriedly. "I found a bloody sword on the ground. I put the stake away and picked up the sword. It was very sharp and was light in weight. It held a form of elvish written on it. "Well either this was a city of elves or elves did all this."
