((hope this is alright))
Ashley walked up to the office. "Hi. I'm here about that last minute substitution. I called and someone said the math teacher went missing." The person behind the desk looked up from her paperwork. She nodded. "Room 391, down the hall on the right." She handed Ashley a little clip on pass that had the words Substitute, Mathamatics and the name of the school. "Thanks." Ashley clipped it to the coller of her shirt and walked down to the class room. She sat behind the teacher's desk and found the lesson plans for the month. "Wow. It seems like only yesterday I was in highschool for the learning." She continued going through the stuff when she found the attendance list. "This might help." Ashley smirked and put her feet on the desk, waiting for the first class.

Ashley smiled as she saw Jessy and put her feet back on the ground. "Hey! I forgot you go to school here. Don't look so freaked. I'm just a sub."Ashley said, noting Jessy's expression. She pointed to the pass to prove her point. "Its just a part time thing until I can find a real job." Ash stretched in the chair making it fall backwords. She burst out laughing, still on the floor.

I winced. THe kids were going to eat her alive, just like they did all the subs. Sometimes literally. "I suppose you know what you are doing," I replied, before taking a seat inn the front that was out of the general line of fire.

Ashley stood up and fixed the chair. "I suppose I do. I've helped a few kids here and there with homework and stuff. And plus, coming here is better than Rogue's punishiment for the prank." She exagerated a shudder.

"Whoop! SUB!" came the cry from some muscle bound idiot with sludge for a brain and to much Pepsi making him hyper active. Uh oh. "You may want to duck," I advised.

"Yep. You've got a lot of them in your class. An awful lot. Why didn't you just take a job at the coffee shop. There is a vacancy." I grinned.
"What coffee shop? What job?" came the quick reply.
"I'll show you later. They want an assistant manager."
"They wouldn't let me-"
"I'll have a word with the manager and owner." I grinned. Funtime.

"Thats gotta be better than this." The bell rang over the door and in a few minutes the intire class was there. It was a riot. Most of the kids were sitting on the desks and talking loudly. Ashley cleard her throat, but hardly any one noticed. She looked at the biggest guy who had just thrown a paper ball. Ashley picked up one of the white board markers and tossed it at him, hitting him in the back of the head. He stood up and looked around stupidly. "Alright. Who threw that?" "I did." By now the class had gone quiet to wacth was was happening. "sit down, I gotta teach you guys this stuff so you can pass the class. But keep this up and the way most of you are headed, McDonald's will never run out of employess."

"Ok then. I'm going to start. Anyone have a problem with that? Didn't think so" She looked down at the paper. "Ok. You guys have been working on polynomails. Doesn't sound to hard. Turn to page four hundred and sixty seven. Do problems one through nineteen. Its due at the end of class. Any questions, just feel free to ask." Ashley knew only a few would actually do the work. "Oh and you can talk, as long as you sit in your chairs and keep it to a dull roar." No use in fighting them. They know its over twenty to one. She opened the teacher work book and looked at the problems.
((I know, I'm lame. I couldn't think of anything, so I used my own math homework ))

I had a quick idea. The one thing people like this were afraid of was detention, where you stayed after school, cramping social lives. "Detention slips are in the top drawer." Then I began the work.

Ashley smiled wider and opened the drawer that Jessy pointed out. "Well yeah. They are! Lets see... who should I test them on first? I'm sure the gum under the desks would love to be scraped off and put into the trash after school today. Any volenteers?" To Ashley's suprise the class quieted down quite a bit. "Thats better."
