"I know that smell," I said as I walked home, when I got there I saw that my house was up in flames, I watched as a figure ran off into the darkness, "Him..." I said as the figure faded out of view, then I went to my house to see two black crispy dead bodies, the bodies of my parents, I looked at the house then at the bodies and ran after the figure.
((I'm probaly going to continue this in the graveyard.))

I'd followed the smoke to a house I knew very well.
"Oh God, no," I breathed, looking at teh bodies. I looked around, spotting TPot running into the night. "T wait up!" I sent a mental SOS as I ran after him. Please Maya, be listening.
((See you in the Graveyard, mate.))

Flames. Fly away. Flee. I tried hard to control my bird's instincts and swooped down lower over the streets. I saw Doc and hooted to show my appearance on the scene.

I sat bolt upright in bed, Doc's plea ringing in my ears. I leapt out of bed, dressed faster than ever before, and with several weapons, fled from the small apartment in the direction of Doc- towards the graveyard.

I was on my way to the graveyard for a little late night butt kicking when Maya ran straight into me, nearly knocking me over 'Mai? What the heck is wrong?' She shook her head 'I dont know, I just need to get to the graveyard' I followed without uttering another word ((Skillfully added myself into the mix I feel ))

I don't like Tpot. But he's a good guy and there are some things that just shouldn't be. In the morning, after the sun rose and I woke up and turned on the TV, I saw the news about a district that had burned last night, leaving fifteen people dead. When they showed the house where the fire had started I frowned in recognition and reached out through my link to her and asked Mai, <Mai? Did something happen last night? I . . . the news is showing Tpot's home . . .> I stopped when all I managed to get back from her was wave after wave of intense grief and emotional pain.
There wasn't much that could make Mai break down like that. Quickly, hoping she wouldn't flay me alive later for it, I screened her mind as I was somehow able to do through our link and found out that Tpot and his entire family were dead and that the killer was Tucker, which they had only found out AFTER they had killed him back, was under a mind control spell.
After that I tore out of my bedroom and into my spell room, where all the components I would ever need for using my powers over time are kept.
Until now I had only ever shown the petty, small and easy-to-use powers over Time. Traveling back, to fulfill the future and meeting past and future selves. Freezing time, reversing time, making time go faster, all of that, easy.
I've never shown my friends, not even Doc or Mai, what I can do when pushed. When I actually strain in using my power to do something.
Pouring my own blood into the urn and then marking the sigils in the air with it, leaving blazing runes of green fire hanging in the air, I just hoped Ate didn't suddenly show up. Because goddess or not, I wouldn't let this travesty stand.
Once the spell was complete, the portal opened. But this was not an ordinary portal. It was a portal to the past. To change the past. To change the future. And it required nearly all of my power to open it and keep anyone from interferring with it. Good thing I've got other powers to help me save several people's lives.
I stepped through and into the past.

I felt Joshua in my mind, felt him searching, and i didn't stop him... but just as he cut off, i heard, felt, knew what he was going to do. I suddenly leapt up, Nicki looking at me as if i were mad. "I gotta go." Was my only explanation. I ran faster than ever towards Joshuas. My heart and lungs were burning by the time i got there, and i hammered on the door, "JOSHUA!!" I cried, to no answer. "Screw it." I snapped, kicking down the door, and racing in. The portal was already closing, and i didn't even pause as i ran throught the apartment and dove through after Josh, the portal snapping shut behind me.

It was night, and to further add to my confusion, I was not in my dorm room like I should have been, but a very strange living room, and again too dark to see.
There would be no 'past me' to encounter, due to the fact that I was changing time as we spoke. What was even more strange was that the portal had disappeared. It should have hung around until I closed it . . . or until I started changing time.
Gulping, I slowly turned around as an incredibly loud, in the darkness, pump-action of a shotgun rang through the living room. Putting my hands up, I turned around to see an older man that could only be Tpot's father standing there, holding a shotgun at my face.
"Who the hell are you and what are you doing in my house!" he demanded, raising the shotgun a little more so it couldn't possibly miss me.
Controling my breathing and heart rate I answered him calmly, "I'm a friend of your son's sir," I told him, not sure if Tpot was the guys real name or a nickname his friends called him and his parents knew nothing about, or what. "And believe it or not, I'm here to save your life."
***(Maya)***
Across town, where Maya *had* been sleeping, the body laying there slowly disappeared as a glowing green portal appeared over her bed and once it was fully open, dispensed a fully clothed and awake Maya, who was also a day and some experiences older.
Maya glared at the clock, seeing it was about an hour to half an hour before she had been awoken by Doc's plea. She also noted where she was, and that there was no past self here. It didn't matter, she had to get to Joshua and stop him . . . or maybe help him since this was the ONE time where she agreed with the use of his time travelling abilities.
Tearing out of her apartment, she raced as fast as her Slayer legs could pump for Tpot's home.

[Tpot!] I mentally yelled out across the city [If you can hear me... and goddess i hope you can... you need to get home now!!] through this i didn't pause in running, and i had a bizarre consideration of how many calories i must be burning tonight. As an after thought, i mentally added to the whole 'slayerette' crew [if anyone sees tucker, knock him out, but dont hurt him- i'll explain later!] I reached Tpots home, and knocked loudly on the door.

I frowned as Mai's message echoed through my head and I put down my book, which might I add is pretty damn good, and grabbed my long leather coat before heading out. I gave a mental message to the group

"Now sir, please listen to me. I do not want to hurt you or your family..."
"Is that supposed to be some kind of threat?" he demanded.
"No, it's the truth, I really don't want to hurt you or your family," I said sincerely.
Just then there was some pounding on the front door. Of course I had heard Mai's and Nicki's messages to the group, but having a shotgun put in your face can be very distratcting.
Tpot's father . . . I've really gotta learn this guy's name before I go crazy . . . turned and jumped at the sound and I didn't waste the oppurtunity by moving forward as fast as my Slayer-enhanced muscles permitted and easily grabbed the shotgun out of the tired man's hands. I may have accidentally almost ripped his arms off in the process, but he still had them when I suddenly felt another, smaller gun barrel pushed into the back of my neck.
Then I heard a somewhat familiar voice, but overlayed with a sinister, shadow-voice order, "Now that wasn't very nice. Break and drop the gun, because even with your abilities Wizard you can't stop the bullet from killing you.[/i]"
Actually I could, I idly thought, but even as I tore the wood and metal apart in my hands like it was really tough paper, I had another thought in my mind.
<Mai. Break the door down.>

The *thing* that looked like Tucker just pulled out a second gun and pointed it at Tpot while holding the first one on me. Before he could do much else than that, I asked, "So tell me, tell us, what's this all about Tuck? What'd Mr. Short and Stout do to you that you'd kill his family and burn their home down? Huh?"
"What are you talking about!" Tpot's father demanded.
"Not now Dad!" Tpot ordered while slowly moving to put himself between 'Tucker' and his father.
"Like you actually care about the freak? I've hardly ever seen you do anything more than insult him![/i]"
"Yeah, well that's just our relationship," I answered casually. Just then the front door finally gave way and Mai came racing in, but stopped at the sight of me and Tpot and his father having guns pointed at us. By Tucker.
"Tucker, please, don't do this!" she begged.
"Shut up![/i]" the thing shouted at her. She tried to step closer, but suddenly stopped and frowned just before 'Tucker' pulled the hammer back on the gun with its barrel in my neck. "Come any closer pregnant dog and say buh-bye to your boyfriend![/i]" Maya stayed where she was.
And just then, wouldn't you know it, Tpot's sister came down the stairs in her nightgown, probably looking for water, and instead saw all of us.
With a growl, she formed a fireball in her hand and threw it at 'Tucker'. Only for it to ricochet off an invisible barrier around him and fly off to hit one piece of furniture and quickly catching fire to the rest of the room.
'So that's how the fire started,' both Mai and I thought.
With the distraction, it was simplicity to move my head out of the gunman's weapon range and with a few deft punches and kicks and a twist around both wrists, I had him disabled. At least as far as guns went.
While Maya took care of the fire, I faced the thing as it flipped back up to its feet in a way that the real Tucker could never have pulled of.
"All right, enough playing. What are you?" I demanded.

"A shadow demon," I said, walking in. i used my SoulSaber to part the flame and then douse them. "I particularly annoying one. TPot and I killed it once before. Well, TPot did most of the killing. I guess I wants revenge."
"And I will add all of you to my shadow army."
"Actually, Long Dow, you won't," 'Tucker' stared in surprise. "Did you think I didn't know it was you? You've done this once before. You killed my sister and plunged me into darkenss i almost couldn't get out of. I won't let that happen to my friends," 'Tucker' snarled as the other stared in shock. "Oh, yeah. Figured that out too. You were the one controlling the Watcher that killed my sister. I've waited a long time for this Long Dow. A very long time." I drew my Saber, lightening dancing up and down it's blade. "Now, easy way, you let Joshua go, and I just send you back to where you came from. Hard, it actually hurts."

I veered of course as I saw a slight smoke coming from a house. Circling round, i saw the fire had gone out but something was up. I entered through a window. not a good idea. What I thought was Tucker suddenly reached out with one hand and gripped me round the neck. "Don't try and shift, b*tch, or be blown to hell."
