I glanced at the screen again, strangely desperate to know what had happened to me in that other world... of course this alternate Pepper might not know, but never hte less i was intruigued...

Jessy was scowling at me. I thought back over what she'd said, and remembered what i had been taught about the way humans tend to hint at things they wished to discuss when they are afraid to say it outright.
