(LA Night)Trust

[Maya]

I lay on my back with my hands under my head, looking up at the dark ceiling. I sighed.
"You want the Long Version or the abridged?" I asked her. I heard a soft chuckled before she replied,
"Whichever you want to tell."
"Huh... well... when Joshua first came to town, he... well, he buggered some stuff up, and i... well i didnt hate him, but i wasnt far off. For ages we barely said a civil word to each other, and then one day, when we were having this huge flaming row... he kissed me."
Charlie snorted a laugh,
"I Bet that went donw well."
"I nearly killed him." I chuckled."But there were more important things going down, so..." i sighed, "DOc and Nicks got so pissed off cos we kept yelling at each other twice as much. Nicki was teasing me... and then they went off, told us to sort it out between us..." I grinned into the darkness. "When they came back we were making out in a broom closet..."

[Charlotte]

I just had to laugh.
"And now you really love him?"
"Yeah." Maya sighed, a soft dopey smile on her face that I was sure wasn't characteristic.
"Wow." I said. I was impressed that two people in this crazy demon fighting world had actually managed to make things work, I knew how wrong things could go but I rarely saw things like this. "So anyone else I need an update on?"
"You're sticking around then?" Maya asked.
"yeah." I said making an on the spot decision. "Yeah why not? As good place as any to kick some demon butt, besides means I get to keep an eye on Aredhel." I immediately knew I'd said something Maya didn't like, I just wasn't sure what it was.

[Maya]

There was an uncomfortable silence for a while, before i said,
"...look.... Charlie... I can accept you not liking her... i know that if i..." I cut myself off, "She... She's not a bad person, Charlie. Granted she used to be, but shes different. She's one of the best people i know."

[Charlotte]

"Yeah but she slipped. Granted we all do sometimes but we don't all kill people." It was obvious I was thinking of one person in particular. "Look I'm not going to hurt her, I just want to watch her, I want to be sure she's not going to do what she did to me to anyone else."
Maya din't look to keen but wasn't going to push the matter, I decided to quickly change topic anyway...there was still far more to learn about these people.
"So...anyone else to know about? I mean you and Josh are together...how 'bout that guy who dropped us off...Doc?"

[Maya]

"Ah, Doc." I said, smiling into the darkness. "Doc is the big bro of the group. He's always there for anyone who needs him. Big nasty past, but he doesnt let it get at him... dont actually know what i'd do without him..."
"You... i mean, did you guys..."
"WHAT!?" I exclaimed, "No! No, definitely no. Ew." I shuddered.
"Sorry." She said defensively, and i laughed,
"Na, its just... i think of Doc as a brother, and i have for a long time... so thats just... ew." I laughed, "No. Doc's single."

[Charlotte]

"OK. So not everyone's got an exciting love life then but everyone has a history."
"I thought you were wiped out." MAya groaned and I grinned sheepishly.
"Sorry. It's the watcher's blood in me. I wanna know everything about everyone."
"Not a problem watcher junior but you can find everything out in the morning."
