I was still... inexperienced... in human slang speak, but I tried to understand her as best I could.
There were many questions on my mind now, but I decided to begin with the obvious...
"When did Josh return?" I asked her.

"Quite a while ago now." I sighed, "Just after i got back from cleveland... really not long after he..." I swallowed, trailing off, "It's been odd since then..."

"Since he... he... died." I said, trying to keep my voice level. Zeroc said nothing. So i explained, "He died, painfully, to save my life. One of the ways i tried to save him caused Aila to be concieved." I said it all in monotone, starring off at nothing in particular.

I partially understood... I tried to stop myself, but I had to get this feeling of confusion out of myself, so I asked: "What do you mean by 'one of the ways you tried to save him caused Aila to be concieved'?"
Before she could respond, I quickly added "If this is too personal, you need not answer."

I smirked at his tactlessness, "Na, its ok..." i said, "I did a spell, tried to take the pain into myself... it was wierd... i sorta merged our essenses, and when we were forced apart by what was killing him, a little bit of him was left in me... and suddenly i was pregnant."

I shrugged,
"I dont suppose its been harder on me than anyone else... everyone has their shit at the moment... but just after all that happened, i couldnt deal... When Josh came back as Avalon... his soul was in another body.." I explained in short, "I couldn't deal. He came to his own friggin funeral...." I shook my head, "I left, i ran away for a while, and when i came back, Ate bought Josh back for real, an' i was so happy..." I chuckled, "Then of course i realised i was pregnant, and for so long i wouldnt tell anyone... Willow figured it out, as she always does, but noone else knew until i told them." I sighed, "I was real happy for a while, we had Aila and she was so gorgeous, and Josh and i were closer than ever... but then demons took Aila from us and caused Charlie to throw herself off a cliff because we thought it had been her who took Aila... that wasn't a fun time..."

I listened to her story in silence... I was, partially glad that I lacked the gift of feeling proper emotion... sadness was one that I had not yet experienced in full and so, I, althought I knew I should have been, was not saddened by her tale...
"You ran away? Where did you go?" I asked, curious...
I expected that if she were to run away, the rest of them would have been able to find her, or at least, I would have been able to tell... but they didn't, and I couldn't...

"Cleveland." I said with a sigh, "Charlotte came with me, and we stayed with Willow and Faith for a little while... but then i got sick."
"Sick?"
"Yeah, all weak and shit, kept passing out, and eventually didnt wake up. They called back here and found that Doc was in a similar state... turned out it was the result of a joining spell a bunch of us had done months before, and Joshua's new form was draining our lifeforce. See, Josh's actual soul was in a soulsaber, and there was also Avalon.. i think you've met her, who was kinda his reincarnation... it was wierd, anyway, they bought me back here, and Ate turned up- she stopped the drain by splitting josh and avalon, and returning Josh to a real body... thats how he came back."

I chuckled at his bluntness,
"We thought she died." I replied, "Until she turned up a couple of months later alive and well and warning us about a big battle... you remember the one you came back breifly to help with? She was... different, angry... she left again pretty quick, after doing some, erm... stuff... and then pretty recently she turned up again heavily pregnant with Doc's kid."
