I shook my head, chuckling, I wonder if Nicki knew of the word tact? [He had to stake him] I told her silently.

I grimaced as I heard Maya in my head and downed the rest of my drink
'I'm just gonna be silent now if that's okay with you guys. Tact isn't a strong suit sorry'

I ordered another drink and tensed when I felt someone swipe the stake from my backpocket
'Hey!'
I turned on my stool to survey the room but no-one looked even remotely like they would want a stake, or even know I had one.
Maya frowned at me as I turned round again
'What's wrong?'
'I could've sworn someone just pickpocketed my stake'

"Wiggy." I said, looking around the room, and scanning with my mind, "I dont sense anything wierd... er than usual. How odd."

"True." I agreed, frowning at the almost empty glass in my hand. I might actually have to buy my own drink now that Joshua was acting all normal again... or as normal as that dude gets. Dammit. I downed the rest of the beer and called for another. "Just watch your back, ok?" I said to Nicki, "Someone can move pretty quick if they could nick your stake and get outta dodge before you throttled them."

'Will do' I looked around and noticed people crying and hugging in corners. It depressed me to think how many funerals I'd been to 'This place is making me feel unwelcome what with not knowing the guy... I might patrol for a while'

"I think i might join you." I said. I finished my drink, and looked over at Joshua, but he was talking to Tpot now, so i didn't say anything. "Where'd you wanna go?" I asked Nicki.

"Oh, hey Nik," I called just as the girls got up to leave. The purple-haired girl paused and turned to look at me.
I made a casual gestures, which she turned in the direction of, and we both saw one of the guys from my dorm leaning against the wall talking to a girl. As we watched, a cloudy gray bubble slowly pulled out Nicki's missing stake from his jacket pocket. Niether he nor the girl seemed to notice the supernatural happening right under their nose, but that might have something to do that I adjusted their perception of time so that the stake in my time bubble floated away in less than a blink of an eye.
The bubble carried the stake over to the were-witch and hovering before her, it waited until her hand was out before the bubble disappeared entirely, dropping the stake into her outstretched hand.
"Thanks," Nicki nodded at me before following Maya out, probably hoping to get the Slayer witch to cast her under the same magic umbrella.
I just nodded back at her retreating back, before turning back to my own drink.
An hour and a half later, I had gotten myself thoroughly intoxicated enough that I was ready to call it a night.
Unfortunately, even in my inuberated state, or maybe because of it, I decided to do a sweep through the graveyard, take out anymore vamps before they killed any of my friends.

I left and dissapeared into the darkness with one thought on my mind, "No more beer it makes me look like a walking cloud of smoke to the innocents."
