[Charlotte]

I felt cold as Karen spoke, chilled by the coolness with which she spoke and the falsehood. I wanted to attack her, to kick her sorry behind until she begged for forgiveness but Doc knew how I felt and held me back.
<It's not worth it Charlie. You're just going to illustrate what she's saying.>
I gritted my teeth, I may even have growled, but I didn't move. I just gripped Doc's hand, hard. 'Next time.' I thought. 'Next time she's not going to get away so easy.' When I spoke out loud however I sounded pretty convincingly ok, at least to myself.
"So who else feels refreshed by that blast of bitterness?"

[Maya]

I had come to know Karen's power signiture, and felt her from the alley. I stopped her in the doorway of the spot.
"Hey K?" I said, "You may have missed this part what with all your self-worshipping, but we did give you a chance- several in fact. You remember? All that, your not the only one whose been alone, stop trying to kill us and we can help- stuff? We gave you chances,a dn you ignored them. Thats when the good guys get pissed." I paused, "And for the record, I stood on your damned side when Torran hurt you. so stop with the 'hard-done-by' routine."

[Jackson ''Doc'' Ellison]

I held Charlotte close, a lot of nasty ideas bubling to the surface.

"And that would be our big pain at the moment," I explained to the new girl. "And just to explain, I have a thing about people who use spells and other things to control me and mine. Bad experiance."

[Joshua]

"You know," I said as I came in just behind Mai, "you'd think the vamps would learn not to come in here. Too bad that bastard Tyrial set up an unholy nexus in here, prevents you from keeping demons and vamps from coming in," I said to Mai.

Everyone just stared at me for several seconds, and they knew how much I hated to be stared at like that. "What?" I blurted, shrinking in a little.

Slowly, one by one they turned to look at the new girl.

"Hi, I'm Joshua," I paused, taking her in, "Have we met before?"

"So, that is the evil witch. Nothing she said was true, Doc would never torture anyone for fun, she was just lying. Come on, do you want a drink?" When the girl wasn't looking I looked pleadingly at Doc.

"Yeah, no torture from me," I said cheerfully. "I limit myself to prank phone calls and the odd moment when I cover your car with cheese."

[Jessy Jackson]

"Oj please. What would you like Kyra? They do great fruit juice here."

[Pepper]

I didn't know what to think, I just still didn't trust this girl, something about her....she reeked of a strange smell that I had come across before. "yeah....its great" I stammerd

[you did stand by and not complain when torran tortured Karen though, Doc.] i said to him so that no one else could hear.

[Pepper]

There was something in the air , something strange and my shifters senses were uneasily tense. "I..I'm gonna go dance, Okay guys" I muttered and slinked off.

[Jessy Jackson]

"I think I'll join you." I felt something tense in the atmosphere. Karen's speech had affected me, nomatter how untrue. It was strange to hear the bad guys opinion.

[Pepper]

"Jessy", I said hesitantly, "What do you think of Kyra?" I asked

[Jessy Jackson]

"I'm not sure. She seems to smell strange. Smell?" We were dancing by now.

[Pepper]

"I know" I replied as some guys came to dance with us.
