I closed my eyes at whatever he threw at me but even then I could see nothing but light and sound echoed in my ears. "Oh gods." I tried to suppress the ringing in my ears, blinking I saw nothing but light and stars and I tried to blink them away.

"Oh you bastard." I couldn't blame him for it though. I was impressed I hadn't vamped out. Control was everything. My only saving grace was the book was fairly well concealed.

"Thank you," I said fro behind her. "Though nots ure if you can hear me," I began looking around, trying to figure out where she'd stashed the book before her senses cleared. "Consider that payback for the mace. Now, where did you hide that damn book?"

My senses cleared up enough for me to hear the last part, I turned to face him. "I'll not tell you that if thats alright with you." I still couldn't see the bastard.

"I didn't think you wold," I said, searching the area. "still, I gotta admit, I'm impressed. Most would be on teh ground with bleeding ears after that," I chuckled, moving behind and patting her butt. "Still, at least it's a nice view.

I turned and cracked him one. I wasn't sure where I hit him but it was good to hit him.

"Slayer healing. It's a great thing." I could see better now. I held my sword to his throat.

"Yeah, I know," I said with a smile. "Admittedly, that was a little faster than I thought it would be, but still. I figured it'd heal," I smiled, tracing the sword. "Nice piece, by the way. I like it. Cost much?" I had to be getting on her nerves by now. That's what I love about being me; a talent for being annoying.

"I stole it off a dead man. So no it was free." I grabbed him by the shoulder and slammed him against the wall, blade resting at the other side of his neck. "I'm starting to grow tired of this game so how about a compromise?"

"Show us your tits and I'll leave?" I asked with a smirk as I looked around. Super strong, soon to be incredibly pissed off supergirl and here's me trying to piss me off. I must be crazy, right? Probably not.

"Oh not on the first date luv. I was proposing destroying the book right now. I go back to my employer and say the worse case scenario happened." I didn't have all night for this.

"... Inside left pocket has a small whiskey cask of embalming oil blessed by a priest of Ra," I said. She wanted to play this way, that was fine by me. although... first date? I would have preferred meeting for a movie."

I moved my swords blade to his jugular. "Don't move." I reached into the pocket and pulled out the said item. "Now stay here like a good boy and let me destroy it. You step away and I well destroy you." Stepping back I opened the cask and sniffed the liquid. "I was expecting it to be actual spirits for half a second."

Hey!" I said indignantly. "I may be an obnoxious, arrogant, flirtatious ass, but I'm a professional obnoxious, arrogant, flirtatious ass! ... Wait, that doesn't sound right..."

"Flirtatious I can deal with." I grabbed the book but kept him within my sights. I dropped the book on the ground, and sprinkled the oil on the book. Pulling the lighter and mace out of my pocket I lit the lighter before turning the mace on the book and lighting it on fire.

"Happy? Oh and you can move away now."

"Thank you," he said with a nod. "and yes, I am. I would have preferred doing it myself, but i guess I can trust you did the right thing," he walked over, looking at the fire as if trying to check. "One less end of the world tomb around to... well, end the world."

"I don't know enough magic to do anything even remotely like that." I said dismissively. "And I don't lie. I cheat but I don't lie."
