It seemed to fit... if he was looking for my worst moment... I suppose I didn't know what came after Ben's death, but certainly up until then, that moment was when I finally lost everything I cared about on the entire planet. I was holding on by a thread at that stage, and Ben was holding the other end of it, dragging me back to life.... they killed him, and severed that thread.... I have no idea what happened next. I swallowed, clenching my teeth and reminding myself that I had clearly lasted seven years and that I just needed to pull myself together and get on with this thing. "Let's go." I said stiffly.

"Right we'll have to take the sewers for Anne," Doc said leading them back the way he and Anne had come. "Unless it's night out. Is it night out yet?"

I shrugged, "Dude, dont look at me, I dont know what year it is for gods sake."

"I believe so," she said looking towards Doc. "I feel something different from before." She only shrugged. "But... I cannot be sure what it means."

"Oh. Right," being the only person belonging in this time frame sucked ass. Officially. "Um, alright, you guys hange here," he said as they exited the emergancy sectoin set aside for the victims. "And I'll go and see if it's dark out."

I opened my mouth to complain about being left with the vampire, but stopped myself. It wasn't productive. So I let Doc go and leant against the wall with my arms crossed over my chest and a glare fixed on her. If these people really did know me, which it certainly seemed that Doc did... did that mean I was socialising with vampires now?? That didn't seem right... esspecially if I really was a 'slayer' as Doc said. The sooner I got my memory back the better.

Annie watched Maya wearily. It wasn't hard to guess that the slayer didn't like the fact that she was a vampire. There seemed to be a large number of changes in the last 300 years and it was odd to see them all. Of course had she had her own memories it was not so sudden. She wished she had her memories, even just little clips of iit would be better than this nothingness after 1717.

Doc looked around outside. Night had fallen, good. they wouldn't have to go through the sewers. If Maya would have followed, he thought darkly, letting out a sigh. It seemed that just when he had a handle on things, someone changed the rules. Now Maya, once again, didn't know him, and h had to keep the truth from her. As she was, she'd lose control of her powers; she was volatile, had to be handled carefully. Not that Anne was much better. He wondered if she'd thought on her own situation. A Slayer turned into a vamppire, her body 300 years older than her own mind. Her strength would surely be more than she was used too.
"Ah, what a pain," he muttered, turning back to meet up with the girls inside. They had to figure this out soon.

Doc returned and told us that night had fallen. "Good." I said snappily and headed for the exit, glad to be away from the temptation to stake the vampire. It was funny, this urge... I hated vampires, that was true, but other than that one time... I usually ran away from them. Clearly it was part of this whole slayer thing now, having a massive urge to stake instead of run. My head couldn't take much more of this.

Doc gave a wince. What was it, happy fun time for Kath... Maya? Yeesh! "Uh, yeah, wait for us, would you?" He asked, moving to catch up. "You kinda don't know where we're going and i really don't know if the spell over the place would recognize you with you barely able to recognise yourself."

I rolled my eyes, and slowed, falling in step just behind Doc. This whole thing was seriously starting to grate- all I wanted was to be alone. Of course this was also what I was terrified off but that was besides the point...

"Thank you, "Doc said graciously. "Not to be annoying, but, uh, how old are you mentally?" He needed to get a handle of exactly how old she was, he realised, if he was going to keep her from going off the handle. Suddnely being in the body of a Slayer with no idea on how to handle it would no doubt be bad enough. Plus... he wanted to get to know his sister.

That took me off guard. I stopped dead for just a moment, before forcing myself to keep walking. "I, ah... I'm nearly 18." I told him.

Well, that explained how much she knew. Nothing, pretty much. "Had much practice with your magic at this point?" He asked, trying to make some kind of conversation. He wanted... needed to learn more about her. Anything.

It was really starting to annoy me that this guy probably knew more about me than I did. I wondered how much of my past I had told him... Sod it, if I was honest with him, I could judge from his reactions what he had already known, which might show me how much future me trusted him... or something like that... "I've been dabbling for years." I admitted, "Just little stuff, y'know, a teenager playing with the idea of wicca..." I paused, wondering suddenly where I was supposed to be with magic now? If he knew about it, clearly it was still part of my life, but in what way? I had very little control over it as far as I knew, esspecially since... "I, ah... theres been a couple of times when I've felt the potential of the magics... but I dunno... it seems a little out of my league..." And yet my body knew how to use it, didn't it? ... I prefered not to think about that... I watched Doc for his response.
