Goth At The Door Step

'Matt better not be getting me in any trouble,' Coal thought to herself as she stood on the door step to the apartment he told her to goto. Out of reflex she straightened out her black skirt and her shirt before knocking on the apartment door.

Even with the slowly climbing heat of LA she wore lace arm warmers which contrasted against her pale skin. Almost a vampire pale, which was amusing to some since she was not a vampire but rather a werewolf, changing during the full moon with little control, having to lock herself up in a cage to protect herself and others.

Sure she had chains she could try and use but those weren't for that purpose... meant to restrain a very 'different' animal.

She sighed as she waited but figured that no one was home so she began to walk down the hall way away from the door, black combat boots no making any noise against the carpetted hallway which looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while.

Doc opened the door, poking his head out, his eyebrow rising as he caught sight of hte... well, rather goth looking young lady walking away. "Yes, can i help you?" He looked her over questioningly, didn't look like one of Ravens. Hm... "You know, i don't see many goths in this building, are you looking for someone?" He asked, slipping into his slightly annoying persona. He did so enjoy getting under peoples skin like this.

Surprise, someone's home. She turned around and smiled. "Well, this is going to sound weird but I wasnt given a name, only an apartment number. I'm suppose to say something about a message from Annie."

[Jackson ''Doc'' Ellison]

Joking features instantly feel from his face as he stood up straight, standing to one side nad gesturing for her to enter with his head. Annie. Rogue. Well, at least she had the presence of mind to send a message to save him to, oh, I don't know, getting grey hairs from worry. "It's not safe to talk out here," he explained, gesturing again. "And I tend to not give out verbal invites to random strangers," just vampires he shared a crypt with, did that make him odd?

"Great, so it is trouble?" she sighed, rolling her eyes before entering. "Do I pass the vampire test than?" she remarked looking around the apartment. She was going to kill Matt when she got back home. How dare HE chastise her from getting into trouble and here he was putting her in the middle of it. GREAT.

"Well, I suppose you do," he said evenly, closing the door. "Now, Annie sent a message through you. Why and what's the message?" He voice was even, careful. He refrained from using 'Rogue' in case this woman was somehow connected to Raven. Still, he was anxious. Needing to know.

"Actually, she told my boyfriend but he thought it'd be safer to phone me to tell you just in case." She shrugged and kept a relaxed demenor even though she could tell he was as catious of her as she was of him. He smelled human but that didn't mean he was. "He mentioned that they had met at a cafe early last week. She wanted to make sure you knew how she was doing. From what he said she's doing fine so far. Not a show pleaser in the ring but apparently thats making bets against her high and she's won so far."

Doc let out a sigh of relief. "The science guy from the cafe," he muttered. He remembered him. Seemed kind of nervous, like that archeologist from Stargate. "Well, at least she hasn't gotten herself killed yet. Thanks," held his hand out. "I'm Doc. And yes, that's the only name you're getting for the moment. Sorry. I'm... paranoid."

She shrugged, "Did I ask for anyother name?" Taking his hand in hers she replied, "I'm Coal, run a nearby club, mostly for paranormal people. Ever since the Host's place was blown up years ago there haven't really been any place for paranormal's to hang out without there being a few deaths. And yes I can tell you know. This place reeks of vampire, would probably be this Annie? Right?" He didn't flinch and the wolf wanted to see what would press his buttons. "She your girlfriend?"

"No... yes... maybe..." he muttered out. "It's... complicated. Like my life," he shook his head. "She doing something dangerous for me while I'm here cause i can't be seen near her. Like I said, complicated," he shrugged. "Maybe, but for right now I'm more interested in getting her out in some sembalence of one piece."

"Life in general is pretty complicated," she replied, watching him with mild interest. "Anyways, apparently you'll probably be seeing me soon with another update." She paused. "Not that I'm anyone to judge but a human with a vampire? Doesn't usually go well. Given she's doing something dangerous for you I doubt things would go wrong but just in case..."

"Hence the 'no, yes, maybe'," Doc said, looking away. "I've Sto... er, read enough to know that things usually go horribly wrong, but..." he looked back at her. "Given my lifew, it's hard to see me with anyone even remotely normal. You know, more a graveyard and a sword kinda guy, no white picket fence and 2.5 kids."

"As long as you're warned," she shrugged, "Anyways, take care and have fun. If you need to contact me..." she pulled out a buisness card. "Here's my card."

Doc took the card looking over it qwuicly before nodding. "Thanks. Can you pass on something fo rme?" he smirked at her slightly. "Yell Annie to try and stay out of trouble. I'm not going to be able to bail her out this time."

"You, bail a vampire out of trouble? They're nothing but trouble but yes I'll pass the message on."
