"Yeah, if you want to do it the easy way," Doc muttered, glaring at her.

Amara couldn't help the laugh that came out. She really should have thought about that. She grinned at Doc as she heard hin mumble.
"Well it works, doesn't it? Thank god their gone now." Amara walked back to the vampire as she called back to Doc. Though she made sure the teens didn't see her by using her magic to hide herself from them. She yet again appeared by the vampire with non sound, scent, or hint that she was coming. "Good job Vampi."

Again with the nickname. With an annoyed look over at Doc who supplied the nickname I shrugged. "Sometimes the easiest way is the most effective." Of course that was aimed at Doc who made things so much more complicated than need be.
"Plus less can go wrong. Less chance of some innocent person getting hurt." Though they were hardly innocent.

"When have I allowed an innocent to get hurt in one of my schemes?" He asked.

"It's your carelessness that concerns me." I knew he wouldn't intentionally harm an innocent but I was not willing to risk it which part of me found amusing given the number of people I've killed for no reason what so ever. Hanging out with humans was definitely affecting my judgment, bringing my human part to the surface. "Plus a death in the graveyard covered up or not might bring unwanted attention, which I repeat, I don't want."

"You don't trust me?" He said innocently, smiling. "I wouldn't have killed them, no matter how tempting. that's usually what I have to stop you from doing. Like our first meeting?" And the deja vu that was Dana. Man that was a mindfuck.

"I still say he wasn't worth saving. But he wouldn't have been tasty anyways." Did I feel guilty about attacking him? Nope. One of the advantages of having no soul but there were times where I wondered if maybe I did... Well, I wouldn't be worth saving any more than the very people I tended to kill. "You are not innocent of spilling blood either." For a pair that were meant to be a couple we seemed to disagree a lot.

"Never said i wasn't," he said with a shrug. "Just pointed out I wouldn't kill innocents. I had my reasons, personal and otherwise, for the deaths on my hands. I make no excuses other than this: I'm a fucked up individual. But aren't we both?"

"I was hungry and attempted murder was a good enough reason to take him out. Besides you had no way of knowing if I was going to kill him or not. Killing means having to hide a body." It wasn't smart to kill every victim, bodies add up and then you get slayers on your tail. With the disturbing amount of slayers using magic these days those ones would be formidable, the magic I knew was out of necessity for any given situation. Magically locking doors with no locks and the spell I used to get Doc and myself out of the figurative lions den, but the last one took too much prep and so many things could have gone wrong that it wasn't a logical spell to use on a future point except for life and death situations.

"Kidnapping, child slavery, corruption, blackmail and bribery trumps it," he said before turning to Amara. "Having fun?" Why did he enjoy these little barb trading moments with Rogue anyway?

Amara tryed not to laugh as the two bickered. She grinned at the Vampire when she asked if she was having fun. "Sure I'm having a blast. Do you guys do this a lot? Its kinda funny."
(((And now we're on to short paragraphs, so much easier, lol.)))

"Yes we do. Too much but for some reason I think we both enjoy it. A bizarre game perhaps?" There was no rhyme or reason to our bickering except for the fact that we've done it since we met. Playing cat and mouse, coy and straight forward and even now it seemed we were still polar opposites but neither could seem to break the spell that had come over us and honestly, I wasn't sure either of us wanted to. It's easier to deal with your problems when you had someone just as messed up as you were as back up.
"And you are from where? Over the years I've learned to place accents but yours is less specific. An American of that I'm sure but..." Funny how I knew accents and the sewers like the back of my hand but phones and mobiles escaped me completely.

Amara smiled as she listened to the vampire talk. They were both interesting. They fought like an old married couple though. Amara listened to her question her home. "Oh, I'm from New York City. I grew up there. where all have you been Vampi. You seemed to figure out faster then people usually do that I'm not from California."
Not many people even noticed that she had a slight accent yet the vampire did. That was a little werid but not hard to understand. Vampires lived for along time and had learned alot of things over the centuries that they lived. So, it wasn't suprising.

"The faster you learn where an opponent is from, what class they are and how old they are you can narrow down the threat level and the likely hood of them beating you." Not a threat but a fact. "The voice gives away more than people realize, as well as the tone and diction a person uses."
((She's very fight first. She was raised a slayer and so knows violence more than anything else.))
