I shrugged. "I'm a vampire slayer vampire. It's not my fault I can take a lot more damage than you can. But getting shot point blank hurts like hell. Half of my head is going to be tender for a week."

I felt my hand twitch slightly, suddenly not feeling quite so talkative. Looking at him, would have been in the eyes had he not been facing away.
"And were you planning on testing this... weapon?" On me had been implied but there was always the chance that someone else might pick up the plans and start themselves a vampire hunting gang. Wouldn't that be lovely. Typically I wouldn't have cared you know... if I wasn't a vampire and didn't have fledges. All of which were turned by my darker half but I still felt for them. They were mine as much as hers.

I bit the inside of my lip unsure of how much I liked the idea of him making or even planning such weapons. "I don't like guns." It was stupid but it was all she could really think to say. Guns just bugged her. Made killing less of an art, more... cold.
