"I'm not sure. Do you actually want me to stay or are you just wanting me around to keep you from being bored? Cause no offense but I don't want to waste my time for the ladder." She paused watching him. "And it's flattering that you find me more appreciative than the room but so's a vase of flowers." There was a distinct difference in genuinely wanting a person there and not wanting to be alone. So sue me for wanting to know.

"Would you be totally surprised if i said I'm not really sure," he said after a moment of silence. He really didn't know. A part of him was still finding it hard to trust her, but another part preferred her company than anything else.
