New Slayerettes, new fan fic section... New fan fic. Doctor Who/Buffy, enjoy, i don't own anything.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It had seemed like an impossible coincidence.
The Doctor had been moping about the universe after the battle with the Daleks and losing Donna (through his own actions, which hurt even more) when the TARDIS had lurched and decided to go in a complete other direction to where he was heading, no matter how much he tried to correct the course. The TARDIS simply refused.
“What’s wrong with you?” The Doctor shouted over the grinding, whining noise that came with the TARDIS in transit. “’Ey? What’s...?” The Doctor was cut off as the ship ground to a halt, throwing him to the floor. “What was all that about?” He asked, climbing to his feet. He was answered as the TARDIS’s door opened and a familiar blonde figure ran in, diving to the floor as shots rang over her head. The Doctor ducked as the door closed, watching as the figure climbed to her feet. “What?”
“So this is what it looks like.”
“What?”
“It’s a lot bigger on the inside.”
“...What?” The girl turned to him with a massive grin on her face.
“Hi dad!”
“Jenny? But... but you’re... What?”
“What, no hug?” His daughter asked. It took a moment for everything to register before the Doctor gathered her up in a tight hug.
“I don’t believe it,” The Doctor muttered. “How? You died, you couldn’t regen...Of course!” he shouted, slapping himself in the head. “Why didn’t I think of that? I’m thick that’s why, head’s too full. You’re still a baby!”
“Hey!” Jenny shouted.
“Well, not physically or mentally,” he corrected. “But you were only ‘born’ about a day prior. Newborns don’t regenerate, they can’t. Their bodies don’t have enough energy in them, but they can do a partial regeneration. Kind of a body restart with excess energy around them. That’s why it took so long. Gah, I can’t believe I didn’t think of that, but... But what are you doing here?”
“Well, I was doing the whole saving the world thing you were talking about when things went weird,” Jenny explained. “Like, EVERYTHING changed. Humans became monsters; monster became worse monsters, the city I was in vanished...”
“Everything?” The Doctor asked. Jenny nodded.
“I checked a few planets I’d been to,” she said. “It’s the same everywhere. Something happened.”
“Boy is that ever an understatement, kid,” came a voice from the other side of the room. Jenny looked past her dad, wondering who he’d picked up and where Donna was. The Doctor, however, knew exactly who it was. He’d been approached by him once before, just after the Time War ended.
“Whistler,” he said coldly.
“How’re ya doing’...” Whistler stopped short as the Doctor glared at him.
“What did they do?” The Doctor asked.
“Now come on, Doc, what makes you...” Whistler found himself staring into those eyes, eyes that had looked onto eternity, eyes that had seen hell in a planetary furnace.
“What. Did. They. Do?” The Doctor demanded. The last time he had seen the Messenger for the so-called Powers That Be, they had caused a dimensional rip while trying to halt the Time War. Damn fools.
“The Bosses needed a Champion,” he said. “Someone that could handle fighting and...”
“What happened?” The Doctor had a sneaking suspicion he wasn’t going to like the answer.
He was right.
“They made a girl. Out of your DNA,” the balance demon said. The Doctor’s blood ran cold. “Hid her Time Lord Physiology away, made her a Slayer.”
“You...IDIOTS!” The Doctor exploded. Jenny jumped in shock. Such rage... “Do you have ANY idea what you’ve done? Gallifreyan DNA crossed with a Slayer’s demonic essence? What next? Did you make her a vampire?” Whistler looked very uncomfortable. “Oh, that’s just brilliant that. No wonder time’s gone wonky. Did they even THINK about the consequences of that? A vampire with a Slayer’s strength and a Time Lord’s brain? Did they? Did they consider the chronal fluctuations, the dimensional variants, how uncontrollable that sort of combination would be?”
“Well...” Whistler began.
“Give me a time frame,” the Time Lord snapped, moving quickly to the console. “Give me a time frame, a name, a date, SOMETHING! Then get off my TARDIS!”
“Buffy Summers,” Whistler said. “Sunnydale. 1996. The Master of Aurelious’s rising.”
“Oh that’s just brilliant,” The Doctor fumed. “Jenny, kindly throw our friend out of the door?”
“What?” Jenny asked.
“He’s not human,” The Doctor said. “Demon. Well, humans call him a demon. He calls himself a demon. He’s more a...dimensional anomaly. A being capable of travelling dimensions. Don’t worry; he’ll probably just teleport away.”
“He already has,” Jenny said, looking at the now empty spot. “Dad...is it possible? I mean...do I have a sister?”
“Possible? Sounds pretty likely,” The Doctor said, calming down. “His bosses are meddlers. Interfering busy bodies, think they know how everything’s supposed to be. Problem is, they have the power to back it up. Taking a strand of my DNA would be easy for them. Turning it into this Buffy Summers, would be as simple as...well, as simple as you, actually” he said, looking at her. Would this Buffy look like Jenny? Who named their child ‘Buffy’ anyway? “Anyway, we have to hurry. Set things straight.”
“Or?”
“That out there will become permanent,” the Doctor said, waving at the door as he set the TARDIS in motion. There was a shake, sending them both to the floor. “Definitely better with a crew of six,” the Doctor muttered. Jenny just looked at her father from the ground. Fate of the universe, an unknown sister and, more than likely, lots of running?
Things are off to a brilliant start, she thought with a grin.

Ya. I've made her closer to Buffy's age physically (her actress is about David Tennants age, 30 something), so it doesn't seem so weird.

1996 One week after Praying Mantis Lady “So, what do you think the next teacher’s going to be?” Buffy asked teasingly, making Xander wrinkle his nose.
“As long as there’s no more bugs,” he said as the door opened.
“Right then,” the figure that entered said loudly in an English accent. He was wearing a brown suit with a white shirt and a brown tie. “Is everyone here? Yes? Good! Right, let’s get a move on, shall we? I’m Doctor Smith; I’ll be taking over your classes for the remaining of the year. Hopefully I’ll be the last new teacher you have.”
“Doubt it,” Buffy whispered quietly. There was something about this...Dr Smith. Something that niggled at the back of her head. She just could place it.
“Okay, biology!” Dr Smith said. “And no, this doesn’t mean you can go and experiment with your own biology, let’s leave our ‘experiments’ purely in theory, shall we?” the comment earned him a chuckle and he gave a bright, thousand watt smile as he began the lesson, all the while noticing the attention of one Buffy Summers.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That night The Library “I’m telling you guys, something’s wiggy with that new teacher,” Buffy said.
“Are you sure you’re not just being paranoid?” Willow asked her. “I mean after that thing with Ms French...” Xander gave an involuntary shiver.
“It’s not a demon thing, Wills,” Buffy assured her. “I’m not sure it’s even evil. It’s just...something. Like at the back of my head. Something I should know, but...I don’t,” her voice became faraway, like she was reaching for something. “And...There’s this sound...”
“Sound?” Giles asked, snapping her out of her reverie. “What kind?”
“I don’t know if I can explain it,” Buffy said. “Kind of...grinding. Maybe moaning. I really can’t describe it.”
“Grinding and moaning?” Xander asked with a grin, wriggling his eyebrows. “Someone thinking naughty thoughts?”
“Xander!” Buffy shouted appalled.
“Yes, well, getting back to this noise,” Giles said loudly. “Perhaps if we play some sounds for Buffy, she might think of something?”
“Oh, I know!” Willow said. “I could probably find some on the computer. You know, whale calls, engines or something.”
“It’s possible, I suppose,” Giles said dutifully.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TARDIS “Found her!” The Doctor said as he strode into the TARDIS at an incredibly fast pace. “4th period biology, middle row with two friends. She definitely felt me.”
“Felt you?” Jenny asked, looking up from her books, a mixture of Earth high school texts and Time Academy tutorials.
“Even if she’s currently human, she still has my DNA in her,” he said, fiddling with he TARDIS’s controls. “Which means she shares the same parent/child bond with me as you do, MEANING that despite her current status if I leave my psychic shields down a touch, she can sense my presence, which will make things easier in the long run. How’re your studies coming along?”
“The Earth stuff is easy, but the Gallifreyan texts are REALLY interesting,” Jenny said with some excitement.
“Well, good,” the Doctor said, looking up from the monitor with a hint of pride. “See, told you you’d pick it up easy. You are my daughter after all.”
“Took you long enough,” she teased, getting up to stand next to him. “What are you doing anyway?”
“Setting a temporal sensor lock on Buffy so we can keep an eye on her at all times,” he said. He froze a moment, looking at her. “What kind of parent names their child ‘Buffy’ anyway? I mean, really. Buffy. Sounds like something you’d name your Selnarium pup.”
“Maybe it’s a nick name?” Jenny suggested. The Doctor shrugged, turning back to the monitor.
“Maybe, but still, Buffy?” He muttered. “Ah-HA! Got her!” he twiddled a few dials quickly. “Just need to focus the picture and...There we go. That’s her alright,” the pair watched as the Buffy on the screen moved through the cemetery.
“What’s she doing?” Jenny asked.
“Hunting,” the Doctor said darkly. “Alone.”
“Why?”
“She thinks she’s the only one who can,” he said quietly. “One girl in the entire world. Which is why...hallo? Who’s this then?” The two watched as a tall, pale man walked towards Buffy. It was obvious that she was attracted to him, and he her. However, the TARDIS’s scanners were telling them something very important.
“He’s dead,” Jenny said. “Vampire?”
“Undoubtedly,” the Doctor said, trying to get sound but failing.
“Does she know?” Jenny asked. Suddenly the two were attacked by a group of vampires. It took them five minutes in tandem to get through them all. Half way through, the vampire showed his true face. Buffy didn’t even flinch.
“Apparently so,” the Doctor muttered as the vampire hid itself again, moving to check on Buffy. “He is far too close to her.”
“Dad, you don’t think...” Jenny began, looking at him. The Doctor’s face was set in a thin line as he glared at the image before pushing away.
“It’s possible,” he said. “Very possible. If he is around during her death...well, on the cusp like that, her original physiology would try and assert itself which means at the very least, a partial regeneration. Feeding off the energy around her. If a vampire was in the room at the time or at least in close physical proximity...”
“It might imprint that on her, right?” Jenny finished. The Doctor nodded, dropping into his captain’s chair.
“I need to find out what that vampire’s up to,” he muttered. “But how to do with without blowing my cover, that’s the question.”
“Isn’t there someone you can call?” Jenny asked. “I mean, you must know lots of people throughout time.”
“Maybe...of course, that’s it!” The Doctor said, leaping to his feet. “Jenny, you’re a genius! Since he knows about the TARDIS’s need for Rift energy...he might be around...” The Last of the Time Lords got to work, spinning dials, hitting buttons, flipping switches and banging on the console until... “Ah HA! THERE you are. Ha! I knew you’d be around here somewhere. Come on, Jenny! We need to see an old friend.”
“Uh...what?” Jenny asked as the two ran out the door.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crawford Manor Captain Jack Harkness looked at the bubbling canister containing a hand. He knew what that meant, but where? Damn this Rift, he thought. It’s so unstable not even HIS hand knows how close he...
“Captain...” Jack spun suddenly, shocked at the sound of the voice behind him.
“Doctor...” he answered. The Doctor merely smiled at him. Jack looked passed him, expecting to see Rose, instead seeing a blonde teenager. “Who’s this?”
“Long story you can’t hear. Yet,” the Time Lord added with one of his infuriating ‘I know something you don’t know’ grins. “In fact, there’s a lot I can’t really explain just yet. And I’m sorry about that, I really am. It all happens in a few years. I wouldn’t even have searched you out like this, but I need your help.”
“So I can’t even ask why...”
“Spoilers,” The Doctor interrupted. Jack nodded.
“Alright, I can live with that,” Jack said. At least he knew he was getting his answers. Eventually. “So, what’s the problem?”
“I need you to intimidate a vampire for me,” The Doctor said.

The night of Buffy’s death “This way!” the Doctor yelled, leading Jenny, armed with a crossbow down the tunnels, Sonic Screwdriver held out in front of him.
“Will we make it in time?” Jenny asked. The Doctor scowled, though not at her.
“The Powers have it set so she does die,” he said sadly. “We can’t stop that, BUT, if two Gallifreyan’s are in the room when her original physiology starts to reassert itself, we should be able to get her away from them.”
“Because she won’t be a Slayer anymore, right?”
“Well, yes and no,” the Doctor said as they rounded a corner. “Nothing can undo that. But because she’ll be Gallifreyan, like she was supposed to be, the Powers won’t be able to manipulate her life. So she’ll be free of them.”
“So she can make her own choices, right?” Jenny asked. “Like maybe coming’ with us?”
“Exactly,” the Doctor said as they entered the cave that once held the Master...
...And now held only Buffy, floating face down in the spring at the back of the cave.
The two of the raced over quickly, Jenny reaching her first to pull her out.
“She’s not breathing,” Jenny said. There was an edge of panic as she held Buffy’s still form. “She’s not breathing!”
“You can feel her, though, can’t you?” the Doctor asked, kneeling beside her. “She’s still there, oh yes. She’s too strong to give up. She’s hanging on by a thread, just like you were. And this time...” the Doctor grabbed on of Buffy’s cooling hands. “We aren’t letting her go.”
“Buffy!” Xander yelled as he ran in.
With Angel right behind him.
And the Doctor’s calm, gentle nature vanished in the face of the Oncoming Storm.
“Get that vampire OUT OF HERE!” he roared at Xander, causing the boy to jump back. Angel froze in his tracks. No...
“Doctor Smith?” Xander asked. “What...?”
“Get him out of here!” The Doctor ordered again. “I’m telling you, get him out of here right now or it’s all over and you, me and everyone on this planet is dead.”
“But...”
“NOW!” Angel turned and fled, Xander stepping back against the rock face as the Doctor turned back to Buffy. “It’s happening,” he whispered, looking at Jenny. “You can feel it, right? That pull on your mind. She’s searching for something. Something to grab a hold of. And you have to grab back, Jenny. Give her something to hold on to. And you,” the Doctor turned his head to look into Buffy’s face. “I know you can hear me. I know you can feel me. You felt me the first day, and you’ve been wondering why ever since. And now you know. On the edge, with everything trying to come in, you know the truth. And that truth, as cliché as it is, will set you free. But you have to fight. You have to fight for that freedom. Take what’s yours Buffy Summers. Take what is yours, Child of Gallifrey, and ram it down those conceited twats throats,” he tightened his grip on her hand. “Take my hand, Daughter...and run.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Buffy’s mind “Uh, is someone there?” Buffy yelled into the darkness. “Hello? I know you’re there, so...” her words were cut off by the sound that had been plaguing her mind coming from behind her. She turned at watched as a blue box with the words ‘Police Box’ on it appeared. “Okay, that’s...something you don’t see every day,” the Slayer said, walking slowly towards the box. To her surprise, the door opened without her needing to touch it. “Weird. Not like this whole situation is normal, even for me. But you, mysterious box, have the only source of light, so in I go,” she expected a small space with a light globe.
She certainly didn’t expect a large white room with circles covering the walls, a kitchenette on one wall, furniture scattered around, two large computer towers and a console in the centre. “Okay, that’s not in the least...”
‘One day, I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until then let there be no hesitation, no anxieties, no doubts. Go forward as firm in your own beliefs as I am in mine...’
“What...the hell was that?” Buffy said aloud, turning around. There was no one in the room and yet... “Where’d that voice come from?” There was no answer. Instead a door opened on the opposite end of the room. “Okay, I guess it’s onwards and upwards. Wow, that almost sounded British. Scary.”
The Slayer went through the now opened door and came into another room, almost exactly the same, save that the kitchenette, furniture and computer’s gone. The console now had a glass pillar with several crystals visible within sticking up from the centre. “Is this the same room? Or one that looks nearly exactly the same?”
‘I have only to close my eyes, and bring them back in front of my eyes - the rest of the time they sleep in my mind and I forget.’
“What…?” Buffy’s hand moved to her face, where she could feel tears sliding down her cheeks. “Why am I crying?” As if in answer another door opened, across from where she entered. “This is getting repetitive,” she said, but the moment of sadness she felt was not lost on her. Like she knew whoever had been talking. Come to think of it, she had the same feeling when she heard the first voice. “What is going on here…?” She wondered as she walked through the door.
This new room, once again, seemed similar to the last, though smaller. Next to where the door would inevitably open, there was a small television monitor hanging suspended from the roof. “I guess the owner likes his television now,” Buffy quipped.
‘You may be a doctor, sir, but I am THE Doctor. The definitive, I suppose.’
“That’s only a little arrogant,” Buffy told the disembodied voice as the door opened on the opposite side of the room. “And here we go again. Think we go for something other than the white room?”
Almost as if it were obliging, the next room as darker seemingly covered in wood panelling. The console had covers over the controls, with more computers and a screen adorning the walls. “Now this is nice. Almost homely. And now cue...”
‘I'm going after Davros alone, ask me why?'
'Why?'
'Because I'm most dangerous when I don't know what I'm doing.’
“I can almost relate to that one,” Buffy said as the door opened once again. “The less you know, the more chance you have of doing some actual damage. Well, here we go again…”
“And we’re back to the white rooms,” Buffy said, rolling her eyes. “Someone needs some decorating classes.”
‘Are you sure about this, Doctor? Being on the run from your own kind.’
‘Of course I am, Teagan. After all, that’s how it all began.’
“So he’s a fugitive? No, that doesn’t fit somehow,” Buffy wondered out loud as the next door opened. “No definitely doesn’t fit, but… And again with the white rooms. Hey umbrella! A loud one. Wow, that’s a lot of…”
‘My Dear Peri, I may be any number of things, but I AM the Doctor. . . Whether you like it or not.’
“Wait…there’s been a couple that have called themselves the Doctor. Could it…could they all be the same guy?” Buffy asked herself as she continued on…
…Into a darker room, the circles that had decorated the other walls now blue and red, the console surrounded by four support beams. “This one…actually isn’t too bad,” Buffy said, this time actually walking towards the console, sliding a hand along its surface.
‘ACE! One of these days we have to have a LONG talk about Safety Standards and explosives!’
Buffy started laughing as she moved once more for the door. “Hey, whoever’s in charge here! I wanna meet this Ace!” The next room looked like a large den, with various artifacts from throughout time spread along mantles, a large bookshelf that took up most of the wall space, a gramophone and a bowl of… “What are those?” Buffy asked, picking one up. “They look like people, but…” she picked one up, popping it into her mouth. “…taste like gummi bears.”
‘Jelly baby?’ That one was several voices, almost like they were offering it to someone.
“Maybe it’s an English thing?” Buffy asked herself, looking towards the console. The centre column, which had been present through most of her journey, now reached the roof, and there was a monitor hanging above the console.
‘I know who I am! I. Am. The Doctor!’
“And way to over excitable,” Buffy said. “Still… everything I’ve seen… I feel like I should know…” she entered the door once again. The room was much larger than she had seen it, with sweeping support beams, four of them, coming from the floor and meeting at the top in an X shape. The central column once more reached the roof, but everything else looked…much older than it had. “Time for some maintenance, Doctor,” she said as the voices began again…
‘By the way, I’m the Doctor, you?’
‘I’m…Rose…’
‘Good to meet you, Rose. Run for your life!’
“Okay, I know you weren’t trying to hurt her – somehow. This is cree…”
‘I know you can hear me. I know you can feel me. You felt me the first day, and you’ve been wondering why ever since. And now you know. On the edge, with everything trying to come in, you know the truth.
And she did. As she heard the voice, the voice she knew belonged to Doctor Smith, she realised what she was seeing, why she was seeing it.
‘And that truth, as cliché as it is, will set you free. But you have to fight. You have to fight for that freedom.’
And suddenly he was there in front of her, dressed in a brown suit pin stripe suite, a white shirt and converse with a red patterned tie and a brown coat over it all. There was a serious, caring look on his face and his deep brown eyes showed the age that his face hid.
‘Take what’s yours Buffy Summers. Take what is yours, Child of Gallifrey, and ram it down those conceited twats’ throats.’
“Father...” she whispered as he held out his hand.
‘Take my hand, Daughter...and run.’
Buffy reached out and took his outstretched had with a smile on her face...
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Moments later her hand gripped his as a small golden cloud slipped from between her lips. The Doctor and Jenny smiled, the proud father letting out a bark of a laugh as Buffy took her first new breathe.
And the universe shuddered in relief.
A Time Lady was born.
