I chucked the bagel across the room. "You'd know me as Karen. Kayley's what I go by now." I waved vaguely to my sister. "Katelyn. My twin, if you couldn't tell. You know Doc, of course. I think you left a couple of months before Ash arrived."

Catching the bagel swiftly, I began to munch it as I waved an introduction at the others. "'mmm...good bagel...Kayely and Katelyn huh? Nice names...Doc, hi! And Ash...well I'm Pepper! Mind filling me in on the sitch here?"

"Uh, long story short, I fell in the lake, dragging Chime with me." I deadpanned, watching Kayley's expression get more skeptical by the word.
"Luckily for me we stored enough latent energy to get out of there after around a year...dunno where Chime is though..." I hoped the silence in the room was happiness at my miraculous arrival. But I doubted it.
