I closed mny eyes for a moment, getting my breath back. I hadn't been expecting it to be that big. The lights dimmed and I could see the wreckage. Not too bad. Bt death was hovering over the injured, like a sickly smelling cloud. "I'll stay here. Dad, get them to the station."

"Er, shortcut?" Ricki asked.
"There's a couple of sidestreets not many people go down."
"Why not?"
"still under repair from the W&H Senior Partners attack that year," I said, making a u-turn and taking off.
