Rogue was at a loss of what to do. She had bever seen Doc afraid but stayed where she was. "Did you want to tell me exactly what happened?" Rogue asked in a soft tone.

"It was...just after i finished with Raiden," I said hesitantly. "I was so confident i could handle anything. then i met Lauranna. I didn't even realise what she was doing til she crooked her finger and I ran to her side like a little dog.
"I became her best puppet. Her agent, her assassin. Her favourite. The things she made me do...i still have nightmares. It was worse than Francois, because I wasn't in control. The only reason i escaped was because i'd finally had enough, unleashing my full power. It onlly lasts sixty seconds. My human body can't take that much power for long. But it was enough. I escaped and ran, met up with an elf who helped me recover. I promised I'd never let her in again. Now she's coming back for me."

"Much better," I whispered. I didn't have to be scared of Lauranna anymore. I had Rogue, Maya, Jessy, the guys, any number of them would fight for me. It was a revalation that stunned me to the core.
I wasn't alone anymore.
