"Oh, okay." I said, " By the way, Doc,3 o'clock." Doc dusted the vamp, "She's known about vamps and things for a while," She turned around threw a fireball at another vamp, "You can tell we're related can't you?"

"She actually looks intelligent," I retorted to Tpot's statement before I could stop myself. "What's her name anyway? Kettle? Or maybe T-cup?" I joked.
Next thing I knew I was suddenly hanging upside down, and my head was repeatedly being banged into the earth. Thankfully, having Slayer powers includes a Slayer's constitution and resistance to injury. Although if this kept up for much longer I would definitely be stumbling for a while when I righted myself.
"Hey! Put my boyfriend down!" Mai came to my defense, as much as she ever would anyway.
Tpot's little sister, who was waving her hand at me in concurrance with my head bouncing up and down off the earth, said to Mai, "Tell him to apologize first and I'll think about it."
"How can he say ANYTHING, let alone apologize with you banging his head into the ground. By the way, thanks for the idea on what to threaten him with next time he pisses me off," Mai said.
If I were in a position to do so I would have rolled my eyes in exasperation and frustration.
Finally my head stopped bouncing, but I was still being held mid-air upside down. "Well?" the girl said impatiently.
For a moment, I just hung there, then I finally got up the nerve to ask, "Would you mind if I asked which thing I'm supposed to be apologizing for?"
She scowled for a moment, and then took a glance at her brother and answered me, "I don't like being called names. Unlike my idiot sibling over here."
"HEY!" Tpot shouted.
Turning my puppy-dog eyes on fullest, and meaning every word that I said so Mai could confirm it, "I apologize for implying any insult whatsoever to your name, or any that could be misconstrued as to meaning you personally. I did not mean it in such a fashion, nor did I intend you harm of any kind. However I don't apologize for calling you smarter than Mr. Coffee for the Englishman."
That seemed to be enough as the young girl smiled and I tumbled unceremoniously to the ground. Slowly, making sure any wobbling would be to a minimum, I got back to my feet.
The moment I did, Mai slapped me on the back of the head. "Ow!"

"Just cos i've spent the last few years in America doesnt make me american, even if my accent has shifted."
"Oops." He cringed.

'Did someone say English?'
Maya cracked a smile
'Yeah. Me. English'
A pout formed on my lips as I sat down
'Aw does that mean I'm not the English Rose of the group anymore?'

"So what can I call him?" I asked Mai, and then turned to his sister to ask her input in this as well. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Tpot suddenly pale and look very nervous as he started trading nervous glances between his sister and the rest of us.
