"Yeah right, he likes the kid. Get real." I spat the words, each one feeling like poison in my soul. I looked at Nicki and was jealous of everything she had. I hated her with every fibre of my being.

"Just go away you cow." This was the worst insult I could think of without swearing. I sped up, raced round a bush straight into a vamp.
"Hello pretty."
"I'm not happy. Go away." Then a cloud of dust rose, and panther-me peered through the bushes at Nicki and Tucker.

'Goddamit!' I stomed back to Tucker 'First off I have to babysit you while all the good stuff is going down and now I got her hating me!'
'Why does she hate you?'
I shook my head and slid down against the side of the crypt
'Because she's jealous and it's making her a brat' I looked up 'She thinks you have a thing for me! And now she's too green eyed and she's probably run off to get herself killed and it'll be all my fault and everyone will have saved the day and stupid little Nicki got the shape shifter killed'
Angrily I wiped away my tears and closed my eyes as Tucker sat down next to me
'It'll shake off in a few days... And she will have shape shifted to stay out of trouble so nothing bad is going to happen'

I couldn't hear anything but it was clear they were having a nice, cosy cuddle. Another vamp approached. "Go away." Poof. My black coat was covered in dust.

Tucker scrambled to get up and ended up falling over. I laughed and held my hand out as he grabbed it and I pulled him up
'Thanks'
'You're welcome klutz. But I mean it. From now on she can hate me, I'm just going to ignore her'
He replied with a shrug
'If you really think thats best'
'Yes it is' I paused 'I don't know, will she just hate me ever more if I ignore her?'

Great, they were standing up. He was probably going to kiss her. Well, I didn't care. No wait, yes I did.
I realised how mean I had been. I walked up to Nicki to apologise. Before I could open my mouth I received an icy glare and she looked away.
I ran away, crying. A third vamp approached me. This time there was no cloud of dust.

I grabbed Tuckers hand and ran to where I could sense a very uninvited guest, pulling my stake out and hurling it at his chest just in time for Jessy to get out of the way.
Tucker rushed over to her
'Are you okay? What were you doing rushing off like that! You could've been killed'

I didn't look at him. I wasn't good enough to look at him or Nicki. I was just a cow. I wasn't fit to lick their shoes. I wished that that vampire had killed me.

I coughed and turned away, wiping my eyes and realising I had gone overboard I turned around again
