I grabbed her hand and used it to help me stand up and steady myself.

I stood firmly as Ashley used me to keep herself steady. This was just about the only upside to a vampire being friends with a human. I was able to keep myself perfectly still when someone was putting all of their weight on me.

I nodded and smiled to her, trying to make her feel better.
"I'll be in my mausoleum..remember to be careful when you walk in, because only you, me, and Tyler can see it...Will you come with me, Tyler?"

I smiled and waved a goodbye to Ashley and started walking with Tyler into the mausoleum.
"Bye Ashley....
I walked into the mausoleum and turned on a light so we could see.
