"Well, I'm sorry if I wanted to live... next time I'll just let them attack me... ok?" I replied to TPot.
It took us a little while to notice the man sitting in a chair at the end of the all.
"I believe you came here for a reason?" Said the man, "I'm sorry, you'll have to leave, there is nothing but pain, suffering and death for you here!"
"We're not going anywhere!" Doc yelled, seeing as the guy was all the way at the end of the hall.
"No need to shot friend... but I must insist, you should leave." He repeated.
"Who are you?" I asked... We couldn't see the man as the chair was turned to face the opposite way.
"I am just a man... I sit, I wait, I clean the mess after Ankara makes it." He said.
"Another one of his servants no doubt" I whispered.
"You'd better watch what you say, I have good hearing you know." The man said.
I saw a bit of a flash... something shining at the side of his chair. It was a sword, one of those thin, fencing swords. But the man looked like he was just going to sit there.

"Does that mean that if we go and scream in your ear you'll hear it louder then any of us would?" I asked.
"TPot, your an idiot." Cervil said, shaking his head.
"And feelin fine." I replied.

"Look... the point is... I'm not gonna let you through!" Said the man sitting in the chair, "so... you can forget about finding Ankara... unless..."
"Unless what?" I asked.
"Unless one of you beat me in a fencing match!" Said the man.
"What's the bet he's a fencing champ?" I whispered to TPot.
"I heard you!" Said the man, "and yes... I am a fencing champion... and I have never been beaten!"
'That can't be good now can it?' I thought to myself.
"So, who's gonna step up?" He asked, swinging his chair around.
"Um... I can use a sword... but anyone here actually fenced before?" I asked.

We all looked at Doc who looked down at his sabre. "Oh, that's a toughie." I murmured

"Heh," I laughed. "Always wanted to be Zorro," I stepped forward, drawing my Sabre, which changed as it was drawn to the appropriate type of sword for fencing. "You might not want to count you're chickens before they hatch.
"Oh really?"
"I'm not unbeatable," I said, stopping in the centre of the room. "But in that same loss comes knowledge. No one is unbeatable. It's what you take from loss that's important. And you're about to learn a real lesson," I took the classic stance, one hand behind my back, sword arm bent, side horseridingstance, tip of my rapier (((I think that's what it's called))) pointing forward. "En garde."

"This is cool." I said. Sometimes Doc reminded me of what I'd seen of Buffy on andrew's video. Speaches

"Now... I never said I was unbeatable... I said I had never been beaten... but I am expecting that someone would come along some time and take my perfect record from me... the one's who think they will always win are the one's that in the end... loose!" The man made his own speech.
He stood in a more upright position than Doc did, holding his sword downwards. He stood side-on as well.
He slowly raised his sword, "Let's get this started..." He said, "En garde!"
He immediately came in, moving his wrist, which moved the sword all over the place, almost faster than the eye could see... Doc managed to block, but it was easy to see that this guy was very good!

I stepped back with a grin.
"Had enough already?" the guy asked.
"You kidding me?" I laughed, holding my blade straight up infront of my face. "This is the most fun I've had in ages," I released a flurry of attacks of my own, blocking and striking out with practiced ease. We broke off again, only now the other guy was impressed. "I do hope you're not giving up so easily."

I followed the complex movements of the fight. Way better than TV

"Ameture!" He said with an elegant accent and voice, "I'm just getting started!"
"Me? Ameture?" Doc asked, "You wish!"
"Let's see!" He jumped in and stabbed, Doc blocked. Then he came in with a flurry of his own, blocking, swinging, stabbing... faster than the eye could see!

"you." Block. "Are." Block, catch blade on ground, "more of a challenge than i thought," I finished with the grin. I released his blade and, before he could put his guard back up, sliced a quick 'Z' across his shirt, without actually cutting into his body. "Always wanted to do that."

"Now that's obssessive... if you're gonna slice something..." He quickly swished his sword past Doc's face, and the cut he made wa revealed a second later, "do it somewhere that counts!"
Both of them started swishing, stabbing and blocking.
"You know what?" block, "you're not" stab, "that bad" swipe, "youself!" sidestep, "I" lunge, "though" block, "that I'd" swing, step back, "have you beat by now!"
"I't wont be that easy!" Doc stepped in and stabbed.
The man sidestepped and swung his sword, hitting Doc on the back.
"That hurt?" He asked.
"Not in the least." Doc replied, and once again... they were at it.

I couldn't help it, a feral smile slid into place.
"what are you smiling at?"
"Sorry, homme," I said, Cajun accent coming through. "Jus' hadn't had a fight like dis in years. By de way..." one slice at the arm, spin, shot in the back. "I owed you dat."
