I was content on just watching for the moment. 'Wonder why Doc doesn't like him,' I wondered.

"Yes, giant demon spiders are dead," I confirmed. Who was this girl. "I'm Rory by the way. Undead shapeshifter with a soul. You?"

Ashley smiled as she heard about the spiders. Stupid archanidphobia. "I'm Ashley, Human, and uh don't really know what my powers are called. I just found out about them recently. You'd have to ask him." Ashley pointed to Doc.

"So, more like learned techniques than conditional powers? You must be good if Doc's teaching you." I grinned. "So, anything important happen? Since Jessy's last email that is."

"A few things," I said. "And she's a natural fighter. She picks techniques up faster than a Slayer."

"How fast?" Rory asked. I grinned.

"Throw a punch. We also pick up fighting patterns."

"Are you really that surprised?"

My fist flew forward only to be expertly blocked a moment later. "Nice," I muttered, a small smile. But she hadn't been the only one learning techniques.

"Learning some stuff, concentrating, very long periods of meditation, the usual. You?" I looked from him to Rogue.

"You've already figured it ou," I said. "Yes, me and Rogue are dating. And if you'll remember, it was never about you being a vampire. It was you in general."

"Why?" The all important question. With a surprising answer.

"I was jealous."

"And yet Amy, to whom she wants to marry, stirs up none of this jealousy?" I asked huffily, but cracking a grin all the same.

"Difference," I said. "Is that you've knonw her longer. You're her best friend, you know just about everything. I wanted that," I shrugged. "I got jealous."
