my eyes widened in shock. they were taking me to face the good guys, the ones who i had wanted so badly to be friends with. the ones i had hoped i would never have to face again.

"And put her in the antimagic cell." I said.

an antimagic cell! as if i would be able to escape anyway. what good would a flash of light do? and i was in no mood to leave my body behind, although i had never quite tested how long i could stay in my astral form. as the place came into site my heart quickened. what would i do?

I opened the door. I looked down at the witch. Poisoned. Black as Karen and probably colder, judging by the way she'd murdered.

i squeezed my eyes tight. i had never chosen this! soon the other would come, and i would really have questions to answer. why? why?
((that might just be the cue for other people to join the thread!))

I opened the door, and the unfortunate witch was shoved inside.

"Hey, Jess. What are you...?" I stopped and looked through the clear door into the Cell. "Kyra? Jessy, what happened?"

"You know she was Karen's little unwilling helper? Now she's a big bad witch in her own right. She's killed." I shook my head.

Damn! I should have searched her down, tried to help her, done something.
"Why'd you do it, Kyra?" I asked carefully.

I looked in at her. There was hardly any of Kyra left.

((i might want to just mention that no-one actually knew me in the first place but oh well...)) the man, if he was even human at all, approached me. "the one you killed, how did you do it? how did you get the dark magic?" i knew that there was no point in resisting, not yet at least, but when i said the spell, without putting any magic into it, they gasped. one of the girls began to talk, "that spell... that is not dark! that is the spell used to make the air too cold for a fire to burn!"
"overdose," i replied. "he froze. i learned early enough that dark magic may be easier to use, but in the end light magic always wins. i use light magic because it is stronger."

"But you use it for dark purposes. The lightest spell can become the darkest hex if you use it as one." I spat. (((Spat as in mode of speach, not actual spitting)))

((you're kind of ruining the point, but OK)) i smiled, "could be, but no matter what form you use it in, light magic cannot corrupt" they stood there speechless. at that moment i wondered how i had actually made myself not look terrified like i really was.

"But human beings can be. Your magic may be as pure as the driven snow but you..." I stopped, my meaning clear.

"Jessy," I said. "Easy. It's almost a good ploy. But you're right. If she continues this way, who knows wat'll happen. And she's already had her first taste."
