Maya's little coffee trick would have hurt a lot, I can tell you. *Would have*, *if* it had even touched me.
I've said it before, I'll say it again, and probablly again later; I *LOVE* being a Time Wizard!
Letting the girls argue I just slowly make my way to the elevator with my spare key.
Two steps from it though, the doors open on their own, startling Maya enough that she steps away from them and calmly turns around, and out steps...

"Sorry I took so long," I said. The others gawked at me. "What?"
"You look different."
"Yeah yeah," I muttered. "Where's the glowy cube?" Nicki held it up. "Well?"
"That's it. The cosmic cube."
"Terrific."
"Um, who are you talking to?" Tucker asked. "And why do you look older?"
"Cause I spent aabout two years in there," I explained.
"Say what?" They exploded.
"Look, I needed time to grow in my own power, plus the soul which now inhabits my Saber needed to get more control," I turned to Joshua. "Remember that night with Draconis?"
"Sure," he muttered. "bring that up."
"When you reversed time, you crossed streams with a version of yourself sending a now full version back to warn us about this event. That," I pointed at teh cube, "is a cosmic cube. The only way to stop this is to find the one responsible, who is currently stuck between phases, and reverse his problem."
"Wait, a full Saber?" Maya said.
"Yup," I said. "I've ben receiving tips from myself."
That went down like a lead balloon.

"If you say this is all my fault, I don't care how much more powerful you are, or that you're a Slayer, I will hurt you very, very much!" I say to Maya before anyone else can say a word.
She bristles, but keeps her tongue, obviously more worried about Doc's revelation than whatever the two of us have got going on. I decide to do the same.
"So...you're own soul, from an erased timeline I might add, has been giving you hints from inside the soulsword, kind of like a living sword, right?"
Doc shrugged at Tucker's question but basically nodded, "The soulsword is a living sword, but yeah, its my soul already in the sword, and yeah it's been helping me out."
"I just have one question Doc," I say to him. He nods for me to go ahead and ask, "How is it that you've only been down there for 12 hours . . . and you say it's been two years from your point of view?"
Doc nodded. "Yep. See, let me explain here..."
(((Please do, since it's supposed to be 1 day=1 year, instead of 1/2 a day = *2* years??)))

I walked though a door and said hey guys i've got a new trick as two fireballs appeared in my hands and i pushed them together to create a flaming sword. "Cool isn't it?"

"He's good at that." Soemthing we agree on.
"Well," I started. This would take some time. "I'm actually not sure. Just that I met some guy down there I'd never seen before that said 'I'll wave the rules just this once' then dissappear. No, I don't know who he was or what he meant. Now, can we hurry up and save the world?"

"Ok, wait a sec." I said, raising my hands, "The whole alernate Doc from an erased timeline thing aside, how come that when you tried to get us all to go into that place you managed to forget to mention the whole 'it takes a year thing!?" I asked Joshua.

"It could take thirty seconds of running down a hall," I retort. "The Labyrinth gives an *ENTIRELY* *unique* challenge to everyone that enters it, and each time might I add! It depends on *you* and what it takes to make you stronger . . . or in Doc's case to figure out what you need to figure out. Not even the Owner of this place probably knows entirely how that thing works. It's not even guaranteed safety, which is why you have to be a member of the Champions of Humanity variety to even be able to go down there. No ordinary witches or wizards or warriors can go down there Maya! Only the *Really* special freaks like us!"
"Goddess you are so impossible, I ask you one question and you make it into such a fuss!" she shouted back at me.
Before I could retort, Doc is inbetween the two of us, his hands raised as he's saying, "Children, children! Please, let's not squabble. Let me make this simple. Where's the cube?"

"That is ENOUGH!" I exploded. Everyone stopped and stared at me.
"You have thier attention. Now what?"
"You two," I said, pointing at Tucker and Nicki. "Come with me. there's something we need before we do anything. You two," I switched my gaze to the Odd Couple, "settle this!" With that, I headed back to the Library.

I followed Doc to the library with Tucker not far behind and sighed, bringing the cube out of my pocket

I grinned a little cheerier as I heard the distant shouts of Maya and Joshua from behind

"Great." I snapped to Joshua, "You just have to make a thing about every d**n thing i say, dont you? What are you, 5? It was a perfectly valid comment- i mean, i'm 19 years old, not really looking to go in some stupid room and come out 50!"
"I dont know how long it would take for you!" He cried, "I said that already! But if your temperament is anything to go by, it'd take centuries to get you to adult level!"
"Adult level? Adult friggin level? I could kick your ass any day of the week! An' even your d**n time fiddling wouldn't stop me, remember that little spell that ties us?"
"Thats just like you- the only way you could beat me is by disabling my power! Thats not skill, thats cheating!"
"Cheating!? When you're in a fight, cheating is so not an issue, dumbass!"
"YOu think you always have to be right, dont you!?" He snapped angrily
"ME!? You're describing yourself! I swear you're like a child!" I yelled back. Suddenly i remembered his thoughts from the graveyard... about when i was mad... "Urgh! Goddess, i hate you!" I cried.
