We didn't get jumped by too many vamps or demons on the way. I think they sensed that they had three really pissed of slayerettes on their hands.
Of course, my glare couldn't have helped their confidence.
Ever wonder what an angry lion would loo like if it had facial features, or any other kind of pack animal? I think I had the answer that night. I was pissed. Royally. Grace had better stay hidden.

I walked up the stairs, still in a pretty foul mood. Des was looking through the books. Pepper was on the louinge.
"What 'appened to her?" I asked. Des shrugged.
"She got here, dropped de books, collapsed," she said. "She's still breathin' just...sleepin', I guess."
"Gald someone is," I muttered, grabbing a book. "Anything?"
"Some possiblities, not'ing solid though," she said. "Everyt'ing alright, chere?"
"For now," I said. "Jessy go bit. I lost it. I... It's amazing. How imprtant she is. Like the daughter I never had. We gotta find something."
"We will, chere," Desere said, looking at teh Sabre she had Forged. "We will."

i grimaced,
"Ew." i said, even though she was asleep. "Majorly gross." I mean, he'd practically my brother- even that wierd boomerang said so... i shook my head, pushing away the thoughts that reared their heads. Not now. i told myself. I kissed jessy's forehead, murmuring a spell for peaceful sleep, and left to join the others, knowing she would be safe in the apartment as it was, without her knowledge, surrounded by a myriad of magickal wards no bad guy would penetrate easily.
