"Hmm, Jessy's head on a silver platter inexchange for some...fun," Rory said, grinning hungrily. "I'll do it," he grabbed teh knife...

At first, it was warm. then it began to sting. The demon was uncomfortable, not realising what was happening. Until Rory reached out from the Sabre...

The vampire crumpled, sobbing painfully.

"Oh God," he breathed. "Oh God, what have I done. Oh Jessy. Oh God, jessy, I'm so sorry. Oh God..."

"It's alright, Rory," Des said, holding him gently. She knew what it was like. "Come one. You 'ave a girlfriend waiting."

"What are you...Desere?" Rory gasped. "What..."

"I will explain later, child," Des said. "Jessy is waiting."

"I can't," Rory sobbed. "I can't...I bit her! I could have killed her!"

"Non," Des said. "Francois would 'ave killed you first, mon ami. She set this into motion to get you back. She's waiting for you. Perhaps you're aplogies should be said to her."

"But how?" Rory said. "We're locked in," Des grinned, moved over to a mask on the wall and pressed her palm against it.

"Palmrecognition acknowledged," the computer said. "Opening door."

"Shall we?" She said.

"Oh my God. Thank God. Oh my God" I ran faster than I never knew I could. "Oh thank God." My arms went around him before he could say a word. I hugged him, never wanting to let him go.

"Jessy. Jessy I'm so s-"

"Bloody Hell shut up and kiss her," someone shouted.

I stood on tip-toes, reaching. After a few minutes I stopped for air. "Wow being a vampire has sure made you a better kisser."

I looked over at teh young lovers, but only temporarily. My eyes were back on Charlotte in an instant, who was still rather shocked from my admission.

"Charlotte?"

[Maya]

I watched with a half smile, so glad that Rory would be... well almost ok, and that Jessy had him back... but at the same time totally devastated that I had not had such things available to me when i had needed them. I bit my lip to hold back the sob that desperately wanted to come out. I leant against the wall, wrapping my arms around myself and watching jessy as she clung to rory.

I was torn. I wanted to see Maya, she was obviously upset, but...

"Maya?" Desere asked. "Are you alright, petite? You look...troubled."

((I knew that charecter was there for a reason.))

I looked at Jessy and Rory from the shadowed doorway. I was happy they were back together but.....what was I meant to do now. I had been sent to protect her from Rory and.......well.....I'd have to ask Jessy whether she wanted me to go back later. Looking at Maya I realised something was shaking her up too.

I caught sight of Mai out of the corner of my eye. "Time to stop, Rory." We stood back. Des was talking to her. Recent experience told me Des could do anything.
