"How you holdin' up?" I asked as I sat down beside Maya.
She looked up at me, tears streaking down her face, staining her cheeks. "What do you think?" she sarcastically remarked.
"I think all things considered," I answered, "you're going to be OK. And I'll always be right here beside you Mai. I think I've proven that, haven't I?" I teased, referring to me coming back from the dead, twice over.
"I know that, but . . ." she dissolved into more sobs.
"It hurts," I finished for her. "I know. I can't say I understand, but I know that it hurts. I'll help if I can . . . if you want me to."
She didn't say anything more, but she did embrace me and hold herself against my, temporarily I trusted, older and stronger body. I just held her to me, rocking back and forth gently, and I wasn't going to let go anytime soon

((Sorry if I'm screwing things up, I'll be finished being tested after this post I promise.)) "Third time's the charm." I muttered to myself as I got up out of bed and ran out of my bedroom door. "Don't go." I said, cutting off my mother before she even had a chance to speak. "Why not Lottie?" She asked laughingly. "Because...because its dangerous." I said. "It's dangerous every night." She replied. "But tonight...I think you're going to get hurt." I tried but she shook her head gently. "When did you become my little seer?" She asked and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "i'll be back in the morning." 'Yeah.' I thought. 'With a demon inside you.' "Wear the cross." I demanded and she obediantly put on the ornate piece of jewellery that had belonged to our family for generations. "Go back to bed darling." She said and I did, listening until the twelve strokes of midnight had passed.
Immediately I ran into my father's room, explaining that my mother was in danger, a crowd of vampires were waiting to jump her. He immediately left to help her and I was left to somehow occupy myself, pacing the house I knew so well but hadn't seen for so long. As dawn began to break I heard the door open and I cautiously walked into the entrance hall. My mother was standing inside the doorway, proving her humanity, but her face was grimy and tear streaked. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Where's daddy?" She crouched down beside me and through the twin waterfalls on her cheeks said, "They got him darling. The vampires killed him." I reeled and felt the floor move as the room began to swirl and darkness ensued. Somewhere in all of this I heard that mysterious voice calling its curse. "Failed."
When I found myself once again in bed I felt like bawling. I was out of ideas to finish this loop and I didn't even know what I was trying to do. Finally I reasoned that I would see how the day worked out, if it went wrong then it would probably just restart anyway. It did cross my mind that more failiures might not be a good thing but I had no idea how to pass whatever test was being carried out. So I lay in bed until the sixth stroke of midnight when I peeked my head out of my bedroom door to take another glance at my mother. I sent a prayer of safety with her, wishing I could do a spell to protect her. On the last stroke of midnight, the door slammed close. I allowed myself to doze off this time, too afraid of the thoughts my brain would present to me if I stayed awake. When i woke again it was to a knocking on the door. Once more I climbed out of bed and went to open the front door. My mother was outside and I smiled as I saw her. "Lottie darling thank you, I forgot my keys." She said but remained outside. I paused but then said. "Why don't you come in mummy?" and she did so, as she did, morphing into a vampire and I did what I had done twice before as the vampire grabbed onto me fom behind. I did what any 5 year old can do more effectively than any adult. I screamed. As I did I felt the familiar grazing of teeth down my back, scarring me permanently both on body and soul. My father came rushing as I knew he would but stoppped dead when he saw the scene before him. "Well, well well." The vampire said in an amused tone sa my father advanced with cross and stake. "Lottie run." He commanded but I was held tight. "Here." he said realising this and threw me a bottle of holy water. It burst on the floor near me and the vampire let go, cursing viciously. I scooted away to the little hollow under the stairs and watched as the vampire shifted back into my mothers form and engaged in conversation with my father. I watched as they fought and then as my father managed to hold her around the neck, stake pressed to her heart. I turned away, I couldn't watch what I knew must happen but out of the corner of my eye I saw dust rising as the voice called out to me, "Passed." Immediately I was with the others. I ran straight to Doc and leant against him crying. "I couldn't do anything. It wouldn't let me." I burbled.
((Am I supposed to be 17 year old me or 5 year old me now?))

(((At the moment, we all seem to be holding out 'tested' forms. Man, this is going to be wierd.)))
"Charlie?" I lifted the five year old into my arms. Great, my girlfriend was five, someone was really going to pay for this. "What happened, milady?"
"It was that night," she sobbed. "When my mother was..."
"Alright, that's it," I growled, holding Charlotte tight. "I don't know what the hell's going on, or who you think you are, but I want some answers. Right now!"

Two dark balls of energy appeared on the invisible Toraan's hands, who was now much closer than before. He shot them at me, and scored a direct hit, sending me flying, and trying to hold my bones together...
I landed on the ground. I pretended to have fallen to sleep. I hoped that Toraan got his wisdom and intelligence over time, and not immediately.
"I thought you'd be stronger than that Zeroc. oh well. You will simply be buried again when a human finds you. Me on the other hand, I've got duties to attend to!" Toraan said, then floated away.
'I've got an Undead Overlord to put to rest!' I thought, 'I must find that holy warrior!'
Once Toraan was well out of sight, I got up. Looking around at my surroundings... there was an old temple, sitting in the distance...
'That, if I can remember correctly, is where I fought him! If I wait a while, he will turn up for the soul destroyer...' I thought, then realised something, 'The soul destroyer was made to destroy the souls of Undead Overlords! I can simply use that!'
I walked to the temple and entered, heading for the room that the holy warrior tried to get to so many centries ago. Inside was a statue of a dragon, without wings. One of it's arms were stretched out, and it's hand wide open. In it's hand was a jewel. A white jewel.
"This is it... this will destroy Haitti!" I said to myself quietly.

'I'm almost there!' I thought as the city neared. The Tarrik-ha came into view. The demons started to slow down.
I ran into the city, and the demons stopped, a fair distance from the city... Tarrik-ha floated above the city, looking towards the big flock of demons.
'Now what, now what do I do?' I thought to myself.
I looked at the rocks on the ground, then came up with an idea.
I took two rocks, one in each hand, and about the size so only one could fit in each hand, and looked back at the horde of demons, who were now walking away from the city, muttering amoung themselves about how much of a coward I was.
I looked at the leader of the city from where I lived.
'Let's go!' I thought before running out of the city, with the rocks in my hand, directly towards the city leader.
"Take this!" I yelled as I ran to the demon, who turned around and received a rock-hard punch.
'SH!T THAT HURT!' I thought to myself. But it hurt the demon more, who fainted, right there and then.
I grabbed his foot and ran faster than I had ever run before towards the city. When I got in there, and let go of the leader, the Tarrik-ha were all over him. He woke up just in time to witness his own demise!
"You have succeded!" Said a voice.
I appeared in the same place as Doc, Maya, Charlotte, and everyone else was.
"ok, what happened, and who's missing?" was the first thing I said to the group.
