Aredhel was bored. Bored as hell, and that expression really meant something to her. After being... away for some time, she had expected the shop to be completely run down and abandoned. Well, it certainly was run down, but she reminded herself that it had been that way before she left. But, as she had left a heftly load of cash after she left, the workers had stayed. She wondered idly if it was due to loyalty, or the fact that they were getting paid. The old elf smiled to herself. She had bought the small old coffee shop when she had first arrived in LA, upon discovering that it's cellar led into her crypt. It was a good escape in the daytime when she found herself too restless to sleep (as was the case now) and had fostered many happy memories; not least among them being the muffin fight. She smiled at the memory. Sitting down at her once-again-usual table and propping up her feet and taking a sip of her coffee. Life was settling back in as normal, if only she could forget everything about her vacation... ((personal plot line of sorts: where HAS aredhel been? the suspense... ))

"You look lonely," I said, proping myself across from Del. "Of course, that could just be wishful thinking on my part."

I was in human form, with a long glove/sleeve covering my entire left arm when I walked up to the run down building and saw the undead elf and the human conversing.
I decided to walk in and join the conversation. 'After all...' I thought, 'this might be a way to get to gain these two's trust...'
I tried to make myself look as human as possible to the public outside.
'Why?' I thought, 'Why must this world be majorly occupied by HUMANS?'

I gave the sniffle of an impending cold and walked towards the old coffee shop, not forgetting the muffin fight and how I had given everyone their presents, including the souls aber which had proved to be unbelievably useful.
Today was one of those days where everything seemed to be going wrong for me and I had decided to seek out my friends, managing to pinpoint their individual scents and deciding to wander over to a place I hadn't seen for such a damn long time.
Wrapping my arms around myself in a kind of hug, I walked in and smiled at the sight of Del, almost as if she had never left in the first place. My mind wandered slightly to where she might have been and I sat next to Doc with a grin
'Hey' I gave a loud sniff 'Sorry I'm getting a cold, how are you guys?'

Day time can be so boring sometimes. I was sitting in my apartment, wondering what to do, when i wide smile spread on my face...
About ten minutes later, i walked into the coffee shop, the smile getting even wider as i saw the group assembled. I grinned at them, got a coffee and a plate of muffins from the counter, and wen to sit down. "Muffin?" I asked the group, barely able to supress the giggle that SO wanted to come out.

I grinned at the new arrivals, and took the opportunity to lob a muffin at Nicki. She caught it, of course, but it wasn't the point. No one would ever forget the great muffin battle.
"I'm pretty alright," I answered the wicca, using a term that had become standard for me during my time away. It was the perfect response: no one really knew if it was good or bad, and I didn't have to explain. Explaining wasn't something I was overly sure I wanted to do right now.
"You guys want something to drink? The food's still crap, but the coffee's not bad." I winked; I was always ragging on the food here, but I hadn't lied. The coffee was pretty d**n good. I had it imported straight from Columbia by my underworld contacts (good guy or no: demon's listen to the first vampire).

"The muffins are ok." I said grinning. Zeroc looked thoroughly confused by all the muffin comments, but hey, it was fun. I sipped my coffee and smile, "Hmm, an' you're right about the coffee."

I smirked at Maya and the others, also having noted that Zeroc had no idea what all these muffin references were about. I fought to keep from laughing out loud as the memory returned. It was just that funny. Of course, he didn't have to be in the dark for long...
You know, we should initiate Zeroc into our little muffin cult, I suggested by way of thoughts. I knew Maya could hear me. When she grinned back, I too kit as an 'all clear'.
"Hey bones," I said, catching his attention. He looked over just as a blueberry muffin (low fat: expendable) hit him full on in the face. I tried my best to look innocent.

"Zeroc, do not, I repeat, do not throw a muffin back," I said. The undertones of my voice however, the one thing I knew he'd understand, were screaming 'throw one at her'.

I picked up the muffin that had hit me, half of it was missing. With the exact same force, against the saber-fighter's demands, I threw it back. It hit her flat on the face exactly where it had hit me before.
I tried my best NOT to look innocent.

"Deja-friggin-vu." I said, bursting out laughing.

I raised an eyebrow. "Well then," I said, wiping a few stray crumbs off my face. "I guess we've just started the muffin wars once more. Zeroc, maybe you're not into sports, but I hope you've heard of the home team advantage..."
With a flick of my wrist, the basket of muffins that Maya had brought earlier flew into the air and dive-bombed my fellow undead.

I was cofused as to the matter as to why she had spilled the bunch of muffins onto my head.
'Mabye this is their idea of 'fun'...' I thought, 'I could learn something out of this!'
Dark magic surrounded the muffins on the floor and flew diractly at the undead elf, she managed to knock a few out of the way, but most hit her, not only on the face, but all over the place!

"Are we seriously doing this?" I asked, chuckling. Catching a muffin millimetres from my face, i laughed harder, "Apparently so." I decided. I formed a shield around me, and began magically lobbing muffins.

"Have you all gone mad?" I asked as I entered the coffee shop. A low-fat blueberry muffin came flying towards my face. I returned the throw, catching Zeroc full on in the face.
