The light now flooded Karen's apartment.
"Witch." Said a voice before her dazzled eyes were able to adjust. "Do not mess with thing you cannot control."
"Who the fuck?" Karen snapped.
"Who are you to predict the way events would have run if you had succeeded in your wish? For all you know, you too could have suffered greatly."
"Oh sod off." Snarled the witch.
"Do not insult me." Ate bellowed back, "You bloody mortals are really trying my patience!"

I smiled at her- not a nice smile, mind you, and disappeared with another pop.
