(The Spot)Chillin' out

[Maya]

"Thats a good point, Jess." I said with a wry grin, "WHat is your name, girl?"

[rachelle]

"Rachelle." I said, glancing at the Jessy. "So do you guys all hang out here or something? Fight evil or whatever? And what are you?" I said to Jessy. She glared at me. "Sorry, didn't mean to be rude, but your aura...its very confusing."

[Jessy Jackson]

"Oh, sorry. I'm a shape-shifter." To prove it I changed into a series of animals, ending with a panther. "Oopsie," I said, as several people freaked.

[Maya]

"Jess." I said, frowning and grinning all at once, "We really need to work on this secret identity thing."

[tucker]

'Yeah you need like a Bruce Wayne/Batman thing going on, because we generally don't want the people we're supposed to save freaked out about us' I didn't noticed the vacant stares I was recieving 'Take the X-Men for example!'

Maya shook her head as if she had suddenly woken up and frowned at me

'Tucker look around and tell me something... Do we look as if we know what you're babbling on about?'

'Uh no'

'Then please refrain from freaking out the new girl with your weirdness. She may never speak to us again'

I gave a frown and grumpily sipped on my drink.

[Joshua]

Yawning from the boredom of my day, I walked casually towards the Spot, hoping, if not for excitement, than at least a refrainment from boredom. When I saw all the people running and screaming out of the Spot, I rolled my eyes and thought to the heavens 'I WAS BEING SARCASTIC! DUH!'

I just got a raspberry sound for my trouble.

Sighing and rolling my eyes, I waited until the crowd was only a trickle of people running out before going in myself and seeing Maya, Tucker, Jessy (looking rather embarrassed over something), the bartender, and several other people. And all centralized around one girl, whom I only saw the back of.

Smiling and sighing at the non-disapointment of relieving my boredom, I walked in and greeted Mai with a kiss to the cheek from behind and a hug.

"Hey Beautiful. Problem?" I asked.

She smiled and kissed me back, this time on the lips. "Nothing but the usual. Jessy needs to work on the secret identity thing."

"You want me to fix it?" indicating that I could reverse time to a point before Jessy made her goof and we could fix it.

"Nah, that's all right. It was too noisy in here anyway," Maya said, but was suddenly interrupted by one of the few remaining customers.

"FREAK!" A guy holding a baseball bat shouted, staring at Jessy. Several other guys, and a couple of butch women, one swinging a chain, the other with big arms and flexing brass knuckles made up the rest. And they all looked like they wanted to kill someone.

I shared a glance with Mai, and she grimaced, but when she caught my look, she seemed to hesitate before finally sighing and shrugging her ascent. Half a second later, everything except for the Bartender, who knew about us, and the rest of us started going in reverse until just a few seconds before everyone started screaming. Then time resumed as normal.

I expected that the new girl would give some kind of shocked reaction, or even an Oz-like 'Cool' because she had been caught up in the time warp too. But I never expected to see a long-forgotten but still familiar face as she turned around and said with a scathing tone, "Well, you haven't changed a bit have you Wizard?"

"Rachelle," I stated with cold shock.

[Jackson ''Doc'' Ellison]

I walked in, took one look at the girl who looked like she was about to rip Joshua a new breathing hole, walked over to an empty table, not too far away, but not too near, and sat down. You could never be to careful. Especially around here.

[Maya]

How odd, I thought, that people notice shapeshifters, but they dont notice Joshua appearing out of nowhere...
I looked between Josh and Rachelle,
"Erm... you know each other?"

[rachelle]

I laughed, but there was no humour in it. I stared at Joshua, and he looked uncomfortable under my gaze. "You could say that." I said coldly.
Maya looked at me, then Joshua, then back at me. "How?"
"We're old friends." I said mockingly, and Joshua looked even more uncomfortable.
"Close?" Jessy asked, and I smiled.
"Sort of. Let's just say I know all his bad secrets." I said teasingly. He really did not seem different, from when i remembered him. He hadn't changed. And neither had I. I still hated him, and he knew that, by the way i was looking at him.
"Um, Rachelle?" Maya prompted.
"He dated my sister." I said shortly, and Maya's eyes flew wide.
"From the look on your face, i guess that didn't go well." She said, looking back to Joshua.
"It didn't." I said. "He messed up. Tried to go back in time to fix things. But the thing is, i remembered everything he did to my sister. And he tried to fix things. But he couldn't, could you?" I said to Joshua. "You buggered up things even more, made everything worse. Apocolypse worse."

[Maya]

I rolled my eyes, and elbowed him,
"Joshua!" I said scathingly.

[rachelle]

I turned to Maya. She seemed all right, i didn't know her very well so I wasn't quite sure if I liked her yet. But I hated Joshua, and i could see the two were together. So i decided to give the best advice to Maya that i could ever give. "stay away from him." I advised seriously. "If you want a normal, 'honest' (I added that for Joshua's benifit) relationship, stay well away from him."

[Jessy Jackson]

"Rachelle, do you want to come over here? Joshua has some explaining to do to Mai."

[Jessy Jackson]

"Ok then. I'll just sit here by myself." I sat down in a seat, feeling very depressed.

[Maya]

"No... dont worry about it." I told them. "He can explain right here, now." I turned to him, and i knew that he could feel my confusion. How could he have done that?

[rachelle]

I grinned evilly, and leaned back in my chair, loving the fact that i had put Joshua in a place where he had no control over. "Yeah Wizard. Explain." I gestured round at the group surrounding me. "They all want to hear it."
