"Is he gone?" I asked fearfully.
"Tyriel? He's history."
"Not Tyriel. Dad."

I raised my eyebrows, trying to show my piqued interest while also maintaining the necessary equilibrium to remain standing. As I'd said before, it was powerful magic to actually enter someone's mind, and sending someone else in whilst trying to anchor everyone was no easy feat. I was physically and mentally drained.
"You father?" I said quietly, using my sword as a sort of make-shift cane. "Jessy, what happened in there?"

"Nothing. Just some bad memories." I stood up, shaking violently, but standing.
(((Are we in my mind or reality?)))

((I knew who it was and you answered it yourself Doc. I wanted a cyber cookie.))
I walked up, "Damn why do you guys keep having parties without me?"
((P.S What's a cyber cookie?))

((We're back in the real world.))
((Cyber cookie is two words written by insane people like me to reward people who answer questions.))
"Not what you'd call a party, TPot," I said, getting to my own feet. "You going to be alright, Jess?"

"Yeah, I just need a drink." I walked slowly but steadily into the Spot. I sat down at the bar and looked across at Rory, who seemed to be drinking himself unconcious in other words, like Spike on a good day. I turned to the barman. My eyes ramed along the line of bottles behind him and finally settled. "Orange juice please. No ice."

"Your stronger than I am, kiddo," I said, sitting next to her and eyeing my quarter full bottle of scotch. I resisted the urge to finish it. This was one of those times I needed to stay sober. Just in case.

I sighed, following them back into the Spot and reclaiming my Smirnoff. Not that it would really make a difference - it's very hard to alter your blood-alcohal level when your blood's not actually circulating. But it tasted pretty good, so why not drink it anyways? That was my philosophy for the moment.
"Well," I said, half-quietly, "let's not do that again."

"I here that, mate," I said. "Jessy, if you want, i could show you some tricks I know to biuld some serious heavy defences and I'm sure Del and Mai wouldn't mind either," I was going to make sure Jessy never went through that again.

"Please." I looked down into my orange juice.

I smiled, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "He'll never do that again," I promised. "No one will. And no one will ever hurt you as long as I'm around." ((Me Wolverine, you Kitty .))

[Jess?] I said in her mind. She physically showed no sign of hearing me, but i knew she was listening. [Im here, ok?] It was all i had to say. In the reality of the bar, no one knew i had said a thing to the younger girl, but mentally, i was hugging her tight.

"You gonna finish that?" The barkeep asked. I shool my head.
"Just get me a Vanilla Coke," I asked. "No ice. I..."
"Say no more," the barkeep said. "Drinks are on the house," sometimes I wonder exactly how much he knows.
((Sorry. It just kinda popped out.))

"There is no reason for me to reside here any longer, I will see you all another time." I said, leaving the Spot and heading for the graveyard, the one place where I feel almost truly comfortable...
