Hm, Rogue rather publically removing a vampire. My Lady was usually a little more subtle.
As I entered the Spot, I got the picture. New girl, vamp was probably adding her to his menu. Rogue must have been...persuading him and the other vamps in the club that that would be a bad idea. Time to reinforce that.
"Hey, Rogue," I said, kissing her on the cheek. "And hello, new girl," as I gave her a friendly embrace, I whispered "Play along. Name's Doc, by the way. Local's tend to keep away from my friends."

"Hey Dad!" I said, grinning. Managing to get onto the barstool without falling off I ordered my usual. It was the regular guy so he gave me an umbrella and a straw. I wondered what other girls my age drank. Probably not OJ.
