Maya and I shared a quik glance. Not a word was spoken, nor thought shared, but we both realised. We wouldn't jump in til Jessy actually did something. But we'd both watch her.

I stumbled towards the Spot; it was my last hope. I had tried Maya's apartment and Doc's, i had been to the Dojo and the magic shop and i hadn't found any one. I was exhausted, the massive bulge of my stomach was making it hard to do as much walking as I had just done, especially after a flight and with my added bruises.
Finally I reached the entrance and stood for a second trying to compose myself through the pain, my ribs felt like they were on fire and my stomach felt like it was about to explode. I took a deep breath and stepped inside. I had a brief glimpse of what looked like a party when an extreme wave of pain overcame me and everything went black.

I stopped dead as i stared at teh door. Or more to the point, the person who had just stumbled threw it.
"Doc?" Rogue said quietly, turning to see what I was looking at. the name came out as a growl as memories hit me like a sledge hammer.
"Charlotte."

"A lot's changed," I said, glancing towards Aila and Maya, more my niece though, considering the way Charlotte had originally left the gang. "We dated for a while, things happened. We thought sh was dead, then she showed up just before that big battle a while back, pretty much a bitch the entire time," I looked back at teh unconcious form of the red head. "I suppose we should help her."

As we picked Charlotte up, other memories came to mind. What happened between us on her last visit.
"Ugh, she's gained some weight," I muttered as we picked her up.

"Uh, I don't think she 'gained' weight," I said as we laid her down.

'There's another soul in there,' my Sabre confirmed. Well shit.

"I... there was moment when she came back for the battle," I admitted. "But nothing more than that, I swear. She made it perfectly clear after tha she wanted nothing to do with me. I swear to you Rogue," I repeated, looking her in the eye. "I wouldn't play you like that."

"I think she's just tired," I said, doing a quick check over her bruises. Any attraction I had for was long gone, thankfully. Her sudden appearnace, however, just when Rogue and I were getting off the ground, was unnerving, especially concerning her...condition.
